She got engaged about three weeks back. I was expecting her on a couple of weeks ago.

Perfect Friction is a group of young musicians who came together through playing at WicklowTrad sessions in Wicklow Town. The band features seven trad musicians and a world-class vocalist, Rebecca Winckworth, who has toured extensively with Anúna among other groups.

The band’s music ranges from high-energy trad sets with a full range of instruments (fiddle, flute, uilleann pipes, concertina, accordion, whistle, bodhran, guitar, piano), to pop and rock songs tastefully arranged with a trad theme. The musicians, all from Wicklow, Dublin and Wexford, include four All-Ireland champions and collectively they deliver a sound that will have your foot tapping and will leave you wondering what the magic ingredient is.

To be fair, from my experience most bands and singers who get on the show have no connection to RTE.

Anyone see the promo during the ad break there before the news? Tubridy looked fair shook, bags under the eyes of Alex Ferguson proportions! And his hair was unkempt in a manner MOST unbecoming to Ryan. Looked more 59 than 39.

But not to worry, the magic of the make-up department will most likely make all that haggardness disappear for show time...

Did Tubridy say that one of the guests is a Perrier Award-winning Irish comedian? I think that narrows it down to Sean Hughes, Dylan Moran or Tommy Tiernan.
