Xperia Tipo keeps turning off ....

    Hi all,

I recommended an Xperia Tipo to my GF and she bought it online.

But since it arrived it keeps switching off completely, regularly, for no reason ... and it then can't be turned back on with the on/off switch ... it needs to have the battery pulled to enable the on/off switch (push until vibration) to switch on again ...

    Has anyone experienced this ?

We brought it to O2 on Grafton Street. The lady there told us that it had an incoming message that it needed a firmware update and this was causing the problem. I doubted this ..... but we took it to our PC and did the update ..... and the SAME problem persists. It is unusable.

Any ideas other than take it back ? :D
