Looking for feedback on this gym. It is conveniantly located beside the train station and am contemplating joining or can anyone receommend an alternative gym in the vicinity. I will be doing the spin classes mostly. Cost is not a barrier so if anyone suggests a different or better gym please post

I swim there now and again. Pool is decent and clean. Lanes take care of themselves. I mostly swim weekdays pre or post work so the crowd is mostly people who work nearby. I've gone a few times on weekends and such and the crowd has been more colourful with fewer lanes and more kids.

The gym seems okay. No squat rack afaik. Bench, some dumbbells but not sure of the weight, smith machine, assisted pull up machine and some random others.

The spin bikes seem to be in good nick and the studio is clean and well kept. Can't personally speak to the class but a mate went a few times and said it was enjoyable and suitably tough.

I think the classes fill up fairly quickly so youl would probably have to ring up to book during the day. That's only a minor inconvenience really. You can book as a non-member too so maybe hit a few spinning classes as non member n see how you get on? For me I couldn't deal with the fully open plan girls showers. Call me a prude but I like the cubicles that are in my gym!

Hi, thought I'd jump on this thread rather than start a new one. Only heard about this place now as I work nearby and need to take up lane-swimming again.

So is the pool generally clean on an evening Mon-Fri?

Also what's this regarding open plan showers? Don't drop the soap I take it.

They're communal showers in a gym, not prison.

It's unlikely you'll wind up with a pool cue up yer hole.

So is it clean on an evening Mon-Fri and how crowded (pool only) would it get around 7pm?
