I see all of a sudden in shops , "salt lamps" im sure ive never seen them before.

I had a quick look on the net and as usual with the net its a mix bag. Does anybody on here have one, and have they noticed any difference.

hope this is in right place , feel free to move if it is.
    :)

Have one for four years now. Looks nice. Dunno if it works or not.

What are they meant to do?

I bought one in the salt mines in Krakow 5 or 6 years ago.

Looks nice & provides mood lighting

    From wikipaedia
Many believe that heated salt crystals' emission of negative ions into the air gives the feeling of being on the beach, on a mountain top, or near a waterfall. However, there is no evidence that salt lamps actually give out a measurable amount of "negative ions" nor is there any scientific evidence of any health benefits from the lamps.

    They DO look nice though
