Is boards the real you?

I dont mean to ask have you lied about personal details here but I wonder do the threads or posts you put up here sum you up? Do people in general think people's boards personas probrably match up with the person behind the keyboard?

Some people here slag the gaurds or say they hate people on the dole or whatever (aproximation of posts) but is that the real you/them? I come across a lot more angry than I actually am. So Is your boards mask far from the real you?

I'd be similar enough as well, though for some reason boards makes me much more argumentative when I'm not as bad for it IRL. Sure what harm I suppose

Nope, but words don't translate well, and things are taken out of context. But I'm a liberal open minded person and i think that comes across on here. Like Boards doesn't really appreciate people joking, or winding people up. On here that would come across really negative.

I notice that and how your posting style can put you across as something very different to how you might be IRL, or things come across the wrong way and not as you intended.

Whatever I write in a post is how I feel at that particular moment. If you were to read posts of mine from three years ago, two years ago or maybe even last year, I wrote them but I may not still agree with them. They were the me then. People change, opinions change but anything I write on here is the real me at the time of writing.

Yeah like sometimes I just think of stuff that comes to my mind at that one moment in time. I don't think that much into it, its just my inner thoughts being written down. I'm a heart on my sleeve kinda guy. I only write about looks coz I get down about them and in a strange way boards.ie is my way of dealing with it.

More or less boards is me but a version of me.

As much abuse we give you, though it's harmless slagging really, you're at least an open enough and honest guy. All you need to do is get a bit of confidence in yourself, and maybe toning down the looks/general appearance fixation.
You'd be a lot happier and better rounded for it I'd say
