Could I use the electronics from an old rc car to drive a petrol lawnmower.
I was thinking of using relays to trigger larger motors that use a 12v battery pack.
Steering might be an issue, but I'm in the market for a new project. What ye think

why would you use an old RC car. You can buy all the RC parts (type used for model planes etc) from the likes of EBay/deal extreme and servo motors which could do steering.

Great read, I have a fair bit of learning to do.
I wanted to keep the old rc for simplicity. Just run the motors of an old battery and control them with relays from the rc system. I'll need to figure out the big servo for steering tho
