It is extremely exasperating that we have to put up that carry on and mentality in Ireland from the likes of Willie Frazer and the rest of those bigots rioting, intimidating and terrorizing the people here...for centuries we had to endure it, I wish it would just end...

Has anyone seen the facebook page 'Keep the Union Flag flying over Belfast City Hall'. It is the main page for the protests and all I see on it is loyalist sectarianism, bigot, anti-Catholicism, anti-Irishness and pure ignorance.

Anyone who speaks out about the sectarianism and racism on the page is instantly blocked by the admins of the page after having been hurled abuse like "fenian cnut/rebel bastard/ priest pedo loving bastrd/ potatoe ngger" etc. But the admins do not block or even warn the people behind that tirade of bigotry.

It is a disgrace that page and the people have not been penalized or taken down from Facebook. I reported and was met with the response, the "behaviour you describe does not meet the criteria for action".

Does Facebook do enough to curb this sort of carry on?

The majority really do seem to be angry, bitter and closed minded up there, on both sides that is. I really do wish the six counties would break off and float into the abyss.

Really? Thats a big brush you have there.

Maybe take a look in the the willie frazer protest thread and see the bravado with which a cork man spoke of his son 'threatening to burn the union flag' when he was asked to raise it as part of his duties - then take a look at the response to this bravado from northern nationalists.
