    Hey all,

First off sorry if i'm posting this in the incorrect place.

I'm just wondering is it safe to reheat omlettes? Have you done it before and had you any bad experiences.

I'm thinking about this as a lunch choice

    Cheers in advance

You'll be fine provided the omelette has been properly cooked through to begin with and that you are careful to reheat properly.

I make Spanish potato tortillas and Italian style frittatas as a good reheatable option for lunches at the weekend. Both of these can be eaten hot or cold and are good in the fridge for three days.

Don't try chilling the omelette until it gets to room temperature and reheat gently in the microwave to avoid drying it out. If its a simple omelette make it in the morning pop it into a microwaveable container and you'll be fine until lunchtime.

    Great demo here.

My boy makes himself an omelette in less that four minutes most mornings for his breakfast so it is fairly easy.
