Learning about exercise?

I've learned a fair amount about nutrition, there's loads more to learn but for now I'm happy with my knowledge there and there will always be more to learn no matter how much I know.
Currently I'm reading up on all things thyroid, mainly about tests and other things that can be affected by the thyroid going wrong.

But next I want to learn about all things exercise, and while I found the nutrition easy enough, the thyroid stuff is complicated but it's just a matter of going over it and finding examples of test results to learn from but I don't know what it is about exercise stuff but anything I read here or anywhere else just isn't going in. It's my weak point and I want to make it better.

What I do know is, compound lifts are good and work more muscles and a basic workout is push something, pull something and do something with your legs.

I want to understand this stuff so does anyone have any suggestions on how to learn about all this. I also have no job so the cheaper the better.

Books first....feel free to PM me and I'd be happy to discuss which ones to start with dependent on where your interest lay.

Then depending on where you end up after working out your eyeballs and your brain box I'd be happy to tell you where I think you should go next.
