Court minstrel is ridiculously priced at 6-1 2.25 sandown tomorrow

6/1 surely looks on the big side. I've had a small bit on at 6's.

Probably wouldn't have bothered at the 9/2 available elsewhere.

Unless the others come on alot I expect it to be between melodic rendezvous and court minstrel..I fancy court minstrel to win

the pixie welsh yards do not win graded races in the depths of winter, theey are afraid of using the milk shakes at this time of year. les questions late spring, early autumn.
court minstrel no chance, none at all

MELODIC RENEDEZVOUS for me in this one, so I guess thats one you can strike out.

Who do you think will win this?

Have backed Our Island at 28/1 each way for the Welsh National. I'm guessing he's pricewise tomorrow after his big contraction at 8 o'clock (tomorrow's RP comes out on the iPad at that time).

Have also backed Swynmor in the grade 1 juvenile at Chepstow. Thrives in heavy ground and was most impressive on his hurdling debut

Jeez yeah the old price is gone there. I was gonna back him but didn't bother. Probably seems foolish now - I'm stuck with Jadanli. I backed Our Island last year though and last time out.

Didn't realise the iPad paper came out at 8.

Yeah it's a pain in the hole alright. Their Facebook page are always going on about it.

I like Jadanli but pisses me off he's a couple of pounds higher tomorrow

I think Blackstairmountain is value at evens. Surely he should be winning that race today!

William Hill gave a nice price on Long Run Stephens morning and did the same with Teaforthree this morning with William Hill (5/1). I think his chances are undeniable and while his current price looks skinny, I think he is by far and away the most likely winner.

How long did they lay the 5/1 to? Was there a max?

Winged Crusader could be interesting in the Chepstow bumper. Syndicate manager gave him a very good write up in Mark Howard's November update. Seems to be nothing but good about him on their website

Been working well with some good ones in the yard including The New One

Good little mares race in the first at Sandown, always been a huge fan of Kentford Grey Lady since her bumper win but evens looks a bit skinny up against Une Artiste.

Destroyer Deployed has been frustrating to follow since his Cheltenham bumper second a couple of seasons back but I liked his last run in heavy ground at Cheltenham when he was behind two decent types. Will have a bit of the 15/2 on offer today.

Can't see past Teaforthree in the Welsh National so will be backing him.

I do like Melodic Rendezvous in the Tolworth but it looks a very open race so wont be getting involved.

Ronaldo Des Mottes is very interesting in the 3 o clock at Sandown, been off since April 2011 so obviously best watched but he was a very decent sort before I can only assume got an injury. Be interested to see if he retains any of his old ability.

    1.35 Chepstow - Swynmor
    2.10 Chepstow - Cedre Bleu
2.45 Chepstow - Fred The Shred

Welsh National - I suggested Sona Sasta yesterday at 7/1, but he's drifted out to 12/1 and me no likey that. I'll have a wee saver on him now, but i've changed my pick to Soll.

I also like Une Artiste and Poet at Sandown.

    Good luck.

Keppols Hill has been very unlucky so far. Blundered the last in his last two races costing him the race, hope he wins today.

laid it for 20 mins so they said on morning line. Happened to be on oddschecker looking at the odds, when the WHill odds populated. I'm happy with the bet I got on - can PM if you like - but its a decent bet.

All he has to do is win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Deserved win for Keppols Hill, as in his previous races looks an out and out stayer.

Ah no need for that, cheers

Just asked as Channel 4 made a huge deal of the 3/1 Long Run in the KG on the morning line yet neglected to say once that it was to a max of GBP£50

    They're hardly the most forthcoming.

Remember the time the Ladbrokes fella was on with the greatest money back special of all time- back Camelot for the Leger and if he loses you get your money back. This was mentioned several times, no gimmicks. He ''forgot'' to mention that it was as a free bet. People were fuming on the betfair forum, Ladbrokes were being sent a lot of e mails.

I like Shoegazer in the 14:10 at Chepstow.
McCoy rides for the first time and he won his only start on heavy ground by 20Lengths.

Also, Valco de Touzaine in the 15:00 at Sandown.
Good second on heavy first start in Britain. H'cap debut now and would be surprised if he didn't improve significantly in the hands of Paul Nicholls.

Caid Du Berlais next in the Canadian.

Paddy Power refunding all losers in the 1.35 at Chepstow. Some form of relief

    Dickie Johnson

You think that was his fault? Horse obviously has talent but was all over the shop when the pace increased, looked a struggle just to keep him halfway straight, any jockey would've found it tough with what is clearly a very raw horse.

No. Concerned for his well being after a pearler of a fall. That last at Chepstow is one of the worst hurdles in racing. Bit of a drop at the back of it.

My word some people are stupid. People giving out on their Facebook page because they weren't told beforehand.

Yeah, telling them would be good business.

Yeah, telling them would be good business.

What they should really do is treat it as the first and second horse won for all Canadian bets!

Makes no sense, that way you can't lose if you stuck 100 euro on every horse in the race.

The way they have it makes perfect sense: if you're going to have a bet you're more likely to have it with PP than usual because there is a chance the horse you'll back will be in one of the refunded races

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,625 ✭✭✭✭Johner

Gervrey Chambertain full brother to Grand Crus absolutely bolts in on his handicap debut. Wonder what the plan is for him.
