Not yet, the canteen was empty when we went looking.

But don't worry, we'll try again later.

If the worst comes to the worst, they can get a mirror in, and Ryan can talk to himself about JFK, US Politics and Lounge Music for two hours.

Has the 'on again / off again' missus been on to talk about her travel show yet?

Liveline finished around half an hour ago.

If you send someone up there now you might find Damien O'Reilly and get him on to talk about sheep and stuff.

And if the canteen fails the bottom of the barrel can always be scraped. Twink perhaps?

Unfortunately Tubbs no longer shows a reflection in a mirror due to so many years of lifeless interviews!

If they're stuck they have Imelda May on speed dial, she's probably waiting in the RTE carpark for the call.

Happy New Year to everyone on the Late Late Show thread!

    New-Year-2013-Celebration-Wallpaper-600x450.jpg

I've an extra bad feeling ahead of tonight's show :(

It's starting at 9:45pm and it finishes at 11:15pm. I reckon it's going to be a pre-recorded show full of last year's worst best bits.

Best afraid folks........be very afraid ..........:D

I'm just after reading your link now :( Good Lord, I really need to get myself a social life during 2013 :D

However, there are certain benefits to being here on Boards on a Friday and Saturday night -
    • Great friends/decent banter
    • No need for a babysitter
    • No taxi required
    • No queues for the toilets, no queues for drink or for food when we're feeling peckish later in the night
    • Late closing
    • Resident musicians - JA & Roundy Mooney!!!
    • And we've friendly TV Mods instead of Bouncers (who even tolerate our You Tube parties :o)

Happy New Year MrsD, Happy New Year everyone.

I hope you are all well.

The Riptide Movement might be in for a shock
What are ya watching on the telly tonight lads?! We're opening the Late Late Show at about 9:35! Tune in, it's gonna be BANGING!!!

    https://www.facebook.com/TheRiptideMovement?fref=ts

RTÉ will be still be showing the hilarious antics of the Albert Square residents at 9.35. Probably another Murder or Divorce. Maybe The Riptide Movement will be playing in the Queen Vic, the drummer could do the 'dum, dum, de de de dum ...' when the show ends.

Bressie has been doing promotion for the new Series of The Voice of Ireland (Sunday, RTE1 6.30pm) I wouldn't be shocked if he was on the show tonight, possibly with some of the others.

Actually, Operation Transformation is starting again next week, they usually launch on the LLS. Perhaps Kathryn Thomas will be on twice, once for each show!

    Not Bressie. Ugh.

I agree with all this apart from the part I struck out. Not on Fridays and Saturdays, anyway. At least until the Summer. We would miss you :)

Please let the Navan man appearing on tonight's LLS be Tommy Tiernan and not Hector Ó hEochagáin.

Edit: Damn - It's Hector, I just checked his website and he is currently getting ready for his appearance on the LLS :(:(:(

I might stick on one of Tommy's DVDs while Hector is chatting to Tubs :pac::pac::pac::pac::pac::pac:

It most likely is the ginger jester. he's got an upcoming show on rte to promote after all.

Is this the official thread for the LLS tonight then? New title style on the thread, same old LLS, I suspect.

And the obligatory "clapping in time to the music" makes it's first appearance.

Happy New Year LLS Boardies.....May it be a good one for all of us!!

Evening all, happy new year to you all and I hope you all had a great christmas.

For a minute there I thought Ryan was trying to copy the Jedward hairstyle. That's some quiff he has got tonight.:D

Shocked if that happened. I'm going for a few presenters of RTE shows starting this month, i.e. Kathryn Thomas, Hector etc and then a panel of RTE cronies discussing the year ahead from 11.15 onwards.

I wonder if TV3 played that for Alan Cantwell tonight?

    I didn't bother watching.

    Head wrecked already.

Hector O'Whatshisface? Hmmm...easy to see that Xmas is over, and there are no daycint celebs left who have books or DVD's to flog for Xmas pressies. Ho hum....

Shane????? Did he change his name to Hector?? Ally, do you know Tommy T too?

They have radio shows?! Who knew!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,351 ✭✭✭✭Harry Angstrom

Feck off Ryan. He does a cushy 2 hour slot on the radio, not a 12 hour shift in a factory.

Feckall Galway people go to Dublin for Christmas shopping.

The shops in Galway are better. And the people are friendlier. :)
