Using Skyline hdsr 400 with USB device

    Hi,

    I'm trying set up a hard drive to record to from the skyline hdsr 400 freeview box.

    It works fine with a usb stick but when i hook up a passport drive it doesnt recognise the device. Has anyone had any experience with this? Is it possible or is it only capable of using USB sticks?

    The manual isnt any help either it only refereces how to use a USB device but nothing about the spec of that device.
