Liverpool v Sunderland 7.45 not on telly it turns out

Liverpool welcome Sunderland to Anfield for the first game of our year (and no Daniel Sturridge cannot play tonight!) with 4 wins from the last 6 and the last of the supposedly easier games before a fairly tricky run in starting at Manchester Utd in 10 days. Sunderlands form has lifted off the floor with 3 wins in the last 6 including City, there only consistent goal getter Stephen Fletcher will lead the line while its Suarez in the same role for Liverpool (and no Daniel Sturridge cannot play tonight!).

Liverpool and Sunderland tend to sit at opposite ends of the stats tables - with the visitors among the least likely to shoot on target or wide or win a corner while among the most likely to foul. Their games have the 2nd lowest goals scored average.

    J. O'Shea, W. Brown, L. Cattermole are all out for the Black Cats while Danny Rose is back.

Liverpool are missing Borini, Kelly as per but also Enrique, so the question posed is - Johnson or Downing at left back?

    Riena,
    Johnson, Skrtel, Agger, Downing,
    Lucas, Allen, Henderson,
    Gerrard, Sterling, Suarez.

is one starting 11 doing the rounds, another puts Widsom at RB.

(and no Daniel Sturridge cannot play tonight!)

    Rumoured team is:

So Glenjo at LB, no Allen...and no Shelvey!

Henderson deserves his place in the team for sure, he has done well anytime he has got a chance this season.

Hoping for a Liverpool win surely the win against QPR will boost the players.

I wouldn't mind seeing the middle and front 3 as shown in the OP.

Would have Johnson at LB and Wisdom at RB though.

Liverpool have fallen into a win one, lose one pattern so Sunderland victory is inevitable.

    I predict a 1-3 scoreline.

Hes had nose surgery a couple weeks back so missed a few weeks with that and looking at the clubs website piece on him today i think hes been basically given a sort of winter break as anywhere hes played before hes had one. Pretty strange.

    Reina
    Wisdom Skrtel Agger Johnson
    Henderson Gerrard
    ---- Downing Allen Sterling
    Suarez

I'd expect a team like this.

    2-1 to Sunderland

    3-0

This is going to be our year

Hope Nuri gets a look in.

And I expect some Suarez magic yet again.

Can you bet on how many nutmegs he will complete?

Have to keep Fletcher quiet though.

    3-1.

Sunderland have been struggling from what I have seen of them. Hopefully our game against QPR will give us confidence that we need to put away the inferior teams.

0-0 at half time but Liverpool with 27 shots and only 4 on target. Shelvey to come on a half time and score a perfect hat trick.

Suprized the Anfield Cat didn't get his first start ina while with Liverpool going like for like with Sunderland.

I'd fully expect that Sunderland losing record to be broke tonight, 'The Rodgers' has been breaking records since taking over.
