    Hi,

The only qualifications I have related to this area are a Powerboating 2 and I have a BIM safety card:o. I've saved up some money and I'm plannying on doing the VHF Radio course and the Proficiency Sea Survival Course. I'm doing these courses for other careers of interest to me.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has worked with or are currently working with this company. I' just wondering what specific qualifications or experience one would need to be considered for a position. An ex colleague who I briefly knew got a pernmament job with this company, I'm not entirely sure what his qualifications were.

    Thanks

i would say without an EDH or an AB cert it would be difficult getting a start with this company.

you would defenitly need the 4 STCW (PST, PSSR, First aid, firefighting) before they would even look at you.

if you can prove you have 1 years seatime (Fishing etc) you can do a 5 day course to get your EDH up in donegal, if you get this it will certainly open more doors for you.

Yes you will need the 4 STCW as a minimum and also your ENG1 Medical.

Without the STCW courses you will not get a job on the wind farms.

Just another quick question, do any of the courses deal with RIBs. Like practicals in RIB capizure and recovery, I know the NMCI run a course specifically for RIBs, but is this covered on other courses?

    Thanks
