I am debating whether or not to buy these. It seems like an amazing deal, and i'm looking for a pair at the minute. I can't find any reviews, but a quick search shows a lot of people very happy with them (@ €119).

Hopefully someone from the Earphones Forum will post here and help me decide.

    Normal price is €119 + Shipping €8

Use Code - HIGHEND4ME after you add to cart.

    LINK TO DEAL

EDIT: - I just tried it on another pair (€149) and it also reduces THESE to €30.

It appears that they're good earphones alright, nice bargain! I was going to take the plunge but at the "enter your shipping details" part I realised that I don't really need them since I have a really good pair of Shure's for home use and a cheap (but goodish) pair of Sony for hacking about in.

I Googled the model number and came across this site, which holds them in high regard:

    Xears Appreciation Thread

    I'd say go for it!

I have no experience of xears but the code appears to work for a few of the products on there e.g. it takes the Pure Audio XPA2PRO Ultrahighend down from €149 to €30!

Thanks OP, even though I didn't really need them, took the plunge and ordered the Pure Audio XPA2PRO.

Me too... just did it now. I went for the most expensive too (XPA2PRO) like you did... that was a good idea.

    Yeah, thanks OP!

Thanks OP !!! Just bought the xpa2pro :)

Arggh I'm tempted by the xpa2pro now, bloody BA.

Interesting to note that if you read the Head-fi (and other forums) there is always a code for xears and only a mug would pay the full whack.

German, budget:) Not worth "regular" price - you can found discount codes all the time:) Quality is lower than it was like a year before.

So probably worth the €38? Once they're not fancy labelled €5 jobbies I'm happy enough

Anyone know if they will work with a Nokia N8?

Have had a few nasty experiences of earphones the phone won't recognise

Between Bargain Alerts and HUKD, i buy too much stuff.

Anyways, from a quick read of the thread linked in the second post, it seems that the XE200PRO Ebony brown/black are the ones to get (at least for me)

Peeps say that because others are more expensive it does not necessarily mean they are better.

I need to read more of the thread and make my mind up i think.

That doesn't sound good! Which model(s) did you buy?

I'm waiting on two pairs myself.

I got 2 of them ,like the red ones more to be honest because of the unusual cord shape:pac:

I haven't tried them yet but they were well packed in bublewrap envloppe.
    :)

I'll comment about the quality later on .

thought that for 38 euro they'd at least give you proper packaging...i've bought 7 euro fake beats that gave you a box...not packed it in bubblewrap.

Mine arrived today, I'd ordered on 23 rd. Sound is better than I expected for the price we paid. Don't think they're worth list price but well worth the discounted price. I went with the XPA2Pro. I'll let them burn in before passing final judgement. Bass is nice and punchy and sound is clean. I've used numerous IEMs over the last decade from Meelectronics to Shure SE425s. Cable quality is my only concern, however you can purchase replaceable cables for the XPA2pros so no major drama.

Thanks for letting us know about the offer OP.

I ordered the XPA2PRO on the 23rd, Didn't get a tracking number but they arrived today.

I didn't really listen to them yet, I only got them as Spares because of the deal going.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,140 ✭✭✭fatbhoy

Got mine yesterday. After a very short test, I reckon that they're nothing much to write home about: worth €30, but nowhere near worth the list price of €149 or whatever it was. So I'm a little disapointed because I thought they'd I was getting a €149 pair (and the quality that one would expect at that price) for €30.

How do you replace cables on earphones?

The pro ones plug into the earpiece so the whole cable can be replaced easily.

Now that is a handy feature, even expensive earphones have cables that break easily. :/

I'm not going to use the pair I bought - I've already been in touch with the seller about returning them but thought it worthwhile to post it here just in case anyone wants a buy a pair of the XPA2PROs. PM if your interested. They cost €38. Going to AntoDeco

Got my XPA2PRO yesterday and I must say nice set of accessories, and on balance I would say €38 is about right. For comparisons sake, I have a set of SoundMagic PL21's and in terms of audio, they are every bit as good as the new set but only cost £18 on amazon.
