You know those awfully happy twins from the veggie happy cafe The Happy Pear?

Yeah... it just *clicked* that twins = pear / pair... hence 'Happy Pear'...

Always wondered why the fruit (and why a pear?) was so happy.

Maybe not so obvious, but useful.

When watching a YouTube video, pressing the 'K' key on your keyboard will instantly pause/unpause the video.

While I was testing this out I noticed the "M" key mutes/unmutes the video

Cycling home from work...some lad probably hailing a taxi had his arm outstretched like a nazi salute.

Got me thinking about neo nazis and all.

I know about 88 being significant as it refers to hh being from heil Hitler...got me further thinking....Adolf Hitler would be AH which would be 18......and is where combat 18 got their name from.

Just Googled that and I was right.

I've been asked on Boards if the "88" in my username is a reference to hitler. I never knew about the connection until I googled "88 Nazi" afterwards !!!

88 was the year I finished school. I wish I could change my username tbh.

That the guys wearing steampunk costumes in Fermanagh yesterday were not wearing safety orange collars just because they were walking in the middle of the road. Yeah, I know, the drums were a big tipoff. I was tired and that was literally my first fleeting impression; it took me a minute to catch on. Dumb secular American here, sorry if I offended anyone :)

Because the reaction between them releases a dangerous gas, especially dangerous in small spaces such as bathrooms.
    EDIT Chlorine gas!

Not really 'Obvious', but something I would've thought that I would have at least heard before now.
I noticed that Laurel and Hardy are known as "Dick und Doof" in Germany.
    http://www.alphamovies.de/DVD/Komoedie/Dick---Doof---Edition-1-1484.html?ref=6

After looking it up, it seems that they're only 'Laurel and Hardy' in English speaking Countries. Everywhere else they are something like "Fat and Skinny" or "Chubby and Dumb".
