Season 26 of Survivor (Survivor Caramoan -‘Fans vs. Favorites’) is due to air in February 2013.

The cast list has been revealed online and for anyone interested in seeing it google is your friend.

I am personally looking forward to a new Season of Survivor but based on the cast I don't think it will better than Season 25, which for me was an amazing season!!

10 people who will get little to no air time and we will all forget after a couple of weeks

We have on the Favourites side.....
Erik - S16 - I look forward to seeing him again even though he got voted out due to his own stupidity last time I think his game will be different this time now that he doesn't have Ozzy to follow around

Corinne - S17 Meh, no feelings towards her

Brenda - S21 Played on ok game

Francesca - S22 A first boot, how the &%*$ is she a favourite ?

Philip - S22 Made for good televison but only because he is a nut job

Andrea - S22 Not the best player but pretty hot

Dawn - S23 Nice woman from what I can tell

John - S23 For someone who is apparently a 'super fan' he was an awful player and does not deserve to be called by his last name (agree with you on that KEITH_KILDUFF). As a player he showed himself to be pretty clueless.

Brandon - S23 Seriously had enough of the Hantz, would not surprise me if he is the first "favourite" gone - assuming the others have seen how he played last time.

Malcolm - S25 - Loved his game, the only guy who deserves to be called a favourite out of this cast in my opinion.

I wonder how he does seeing as he started filming only 2.5 weeks after his last season !

I think it would have been better if the season was sold more so as a Second Attempt effort for all, because theyve all made a huge mistake to **** up their first time playing!

I am not sure but in the past they typically air the latest season no earlier than 6 months after it airs in the U.S. .... maybe e-mail them to be sure?

Survivor is back on TG4 in the Spring. No date set yet. Don't know which one though.

Just watched the first episode, it was not too bad but I am tired and will write more tomorrow. Laughed my ass off when I saw who got voted out, it was epic :pac:

I'm quite surprised that the only Favourites who are in any way strategic are Cochran, Dawn and Corinne... Everyone else is acting as if they've never played the game before...

I have no real thoughts on any of the Fans yet - none of them stand out as being particularly likeable yet anyway...

Looking forward to see the evil side of Brandon Hantz...

I agree 100%, Cochran, Dawn and Corinne have definitely learnt from last time. Cochran has clearly been working out and his fitness has improved dramatically although he is still very nerdy As much as I hate to say it I can see him going far if he keeps it up.

Really sick of Russell getting a mention every season :mad:



Oh and for anyone curious, the latest survivor I have been chatting with (through e-mail) is Dana from the philippines, she is really nice.

Pretty mediocre season opening.Not really impressed with any of the favourites,where are the great survivors of past seasons?Philip is still going around in the pink underpants,what's with the godfather persona?Cochran is as irritating as ever,that sunburn looks really painful!:D
Great comeback by the fans to win immunity although Malcolm really blew it.LOL re Francesca been voted out first again,has caused a big schism in the tribe with Hantz,Erik,Brenda on the outs.
Yip really looking forward to the evil Hantz.Re the fans,it looks like the two jocks have hooked up with the two hotties,Hope is really cute.Big mistake,four is not a majority.Iraq veteran is a likely candidate for early exit.

I disagree, I think it was a decent opening, we got to know the dynamics of both tribes and the flaws on show (Matt/Shamar, Kool Kids) for the Fans, (Fran paranoid, Phil trying to play like BR, John "learning" ) for the Faves so i think its got potential!

The immunity challenge was class, and the whole episode was beautifully shot and easy to look at!

Only downside for me was the lack of Brenda/Malcolm airtime ;( Hopefully not a sign of how there games pan out!!

I'm hoping for a Cochran/Dawn/Malcolm/Andrea final 4, with Corinne in there at number 5 possibly...

I've spoken to Dawn online before and from talking to her I get the impression that she's a much better strategist than she was given credit for during her previous season.

I don't think any of the fans stand a chance of getting too far - the only one who I felt had any potential was the girl who suggested forming and alliance to counter the couples alliance... Think she was the one who said in the very beginning in a Confession Cam that she thought of herself as a strategist...

Okay start but nothing spectacular, glad Philip is back but that's about it, should have called it Fans vs People Who Have Previously Taken Part in Survivor instead of fans vs favourites, barely recognised most of them and if you were voted out first in the season you took part in how the feck can you be classed as a favourite?

Another fairly average episode, Philip is now officially a crazy man, I think he imagines he is head of Spectre a la James Bond.He claims Brandon is a narcissist, pot calling the kettle black comes to mind.At least he is not psychotic, unlike Brandon! Malcolm very nearly blew the huge lead in the IC.Fan girls really blew it on the float, loving the return of the water challenges and mesmerising scenery, wonderful aerial shots.
Tribal was enjoyable, Reynold must learn not to wear such tight shorts, he really panicked when called out, should really have given Allie the HII.Gutted that Shamar was'nt voted off,such an awful attitude, total waste of space.Lazing around camp all day, how on earth did he survive two trips to Iraq with such an obvious lack of fitness and self serving attitude?

Only managed to watch the episode late last night (thankfully avoided facebook so I didn't find out who got kicked out before I saw it).

I must say that so far this season is not all that exciting, Brandon was meant to turn into a glorified Russell but then changes his mind, are we really going to have him mind f*ck people all season with his off the wall comments ? Hope he has gone soon.

As much as I wanted to see Shamar gone the minute you hear someone say "X is definitely going home" on Survivor then it means they are definitely NOT going home. Also, he is a big strong guy, I can see him making the merge and then being one of the first to go.

At this point in the game I am enjoying the returnees (most do not deserve the title of a favourite so returnees or failures is more apt) more than the fans.

So this episode for me was a bit 'meh' but hopefully things will improve really soon !!

Allie's name never came up really, hence why Reynold didnt think about passing the HII, I think hell be a strong player though and will make the merge, can see a swap coming in the next 2 weeks which will freshen it up and also give players at the bottom, like Brenda Brandon, Erik and Eddie a chance to make something happen!

It is an Australian radio show that interviews people from past seasons (they have interviewed around 190 so far). They let people e-mail in questions.

The interviews are very interesting, especially the ones where they discuss behind the scenes stuff

Yeah RHAP is my personal favourite of the lot, although Oz has some gems. The fact they tracked down Greg Buis is mindblowing, and hearing an interview with Heidik was great!

Is that Amazing Race that so many Survivors seem to end up on worth a look or is it all staged/scripted like the rest of the "junk" non-survivor reality shows? Worth a watch? Dont think Ive ever seen a Boards thread for it.

Give it a go I suppose . I gave up watching a few seasons back - but overall I did like it even if it sorta got a bit worse (imo) as time went on. I personally got hooked after watching Season 7, but I'm not sure whats the best. Season 12 is cool as it starts in Ireland :P, actually I'd recommend that or season 7 as a starter season to watch ^^.

One thing I'll say about being a Survivor fan - it's not like being a fan of any other show, because the the Survivor cast will always gladly chat to you if you talk to them on facebook or the like... It's great.

I'm a big fan of The Amazing Race - like Survivor its got its good seasons and its bad seasons, but even the bad ones are at least enjoyable...

This season thus far has failed to ignite,despite developing some kind of understanding of Shamar's PTSD post Iraq,he continues to play the Angry Black man or snotty teenage brat!Heaven forbid it is not as though he is lacking awareness of his issues.
Sherri looks to have potential to go quite a long way,good social game and appears quite strategic.
Sick to death of the Survivor producers overegging the perceived comic value of Philip the crazy,surely it can't be that great a rating winner.Ditto it is at this stage a bit of a running joke the ease with which contestants find HII,except it is'nt very funny.
Tribal was predictable despite the three way tie and revote.Quite like the Jocks,Reynold is going nowhere without making a big move,it is going to prove impossible to make any inroads into Sherri's alliance.He should have given Hope the idol for the revote,worth a gamble and good riddance to Shamar.He would have gained some respect.No chance of a merge any time soon,time is running out unless the Fans start winning some ICs.

Not sure the idol can be played in a revote.

I though Hope made a mistake by not taking Shamar's advice and voting for Eddie. It really was her only way of staying

Not sure why that didn't try and split the vote between Hope and Reynold - even if he plays the idol they still get the same result and the idol is out. With Reynold gone Shamar may have settled in more.

Philip is becoming a joke now with the crap he comes out with. All that NBA stuff - it's cringe worthy now. I like how Andrea is playing this season but Brandon is still as mad as ever.

On another note - if you can swim you are at a definite disadvantage this year

No you can't play an idol on a revote, only on first vote.

Fans were unlucky in challenge, im disliking only one challenge per ep at the moment,

Delighted Malcolm has an idol, itl help him down the road hopefully!

Alot of players still very much UTR, while we get Phil/Brandon/Shamar overkill on our screens, hopefully this is a sign that there gone soon and there trying to show as much of them as possible in their short space.

I think Sherri, Reynold, Eddie and Micheal have the best chance on the Fans side of going far.

I would imagine a swap will happen soon, so hopefully thatll mix it up rightly and see where we are after!!

God that is a collection of bland forgettable characters on the Fans team...

To be honest though the last few seasons have always looked very unpromising for the first couple of eps but then pick up so Id say the same will happen here.

They need to put the suvival back in Survivor though, I suspect everyone is being given enough rice and beans to eat lately, there should be an emphasis on fishing and gathering like previous season. And 2 challenges FFS, I dont even remember half the crap they pad an episode with when its just irrelevant chat for 90% of it.

I've seen it a few times and while it can be enjoyable it gets a bit boring for me because you see each task performed by each time with varying degrees of success. Sure check it out and see what you think.

Agreed, some are sooooooo friendly but one/two can be ignorant. The latest person I have got to chat to is Dana from the Philippines, she is adorable I have the bottle and bag she used on the season

To quote one of her e-mails to me (when I asked if there was anything she did that didn't air that she thought was kinda cool) "I have been watching the new season of Survivor. Of course I'm pulling for my boy Malcolm! there were a couple chicken killing moments that didn't air and Penner and I getting into it over him letting the fire go out! Haha but of course there was footage of me being pretty sick too, so I'm okay that everything didn't make it to television"

You know one thing I am always curious about is the lack of viewing figures for Survivor, I'm guessing they only count the people watching it live and not those who record it or download etc, if they were able to count all of that I think the figures would be a lot higher.

Yip not a bad episode,the Iraq veteran left without a whimper,can't believe he survived 2 tours in Iraq.His departure will definitely be beneficial to the Fans in the long term.The Philip Shephard show continues.....yawn.:mad:

Amazing episode I must agree !

Seeing Brandon meltdown is no surprise (he probably did it everyday but the editors thought it was boring viewing until he really exploded). I wonder what caused it, perhaps they lose the immunity challenge and he thinks he is getting the vote? :eek:

Loved the 'golum' guy ha ha and Shamar thinking they won reward ?? Hilarious although in fairness he was in the middle on the platform so probably could not hear very well and just assumed.

I thought if Shamar stood up for the challenge rather than bend over that they might get more players on the stand.

To be honest I am glad he is gone.

I am surprised they all voted the girl out, I wanted her gone but I did not think the older woman would of voted for her.

Enjoyable show.

I am going for the two man team of Eddie and Reyonald.

Thank god Shamar has gone, I've watched every season of Survivor and I don't think I've seen a bigger baby. This whole idea of "Oh I'm a war vet" respect me or else attitude annoyed the hell out of me. How in god's name did he do two tours of Iraq?! Next weeks episode looks great. Brandon is mental.

Brenda is the hottest ever survivor..hands down..I'd do damage to that woman.. can't believe she's 30!
