Protein drinks?

    Hi,
    Can anyone recommend a really good Protein drink that is very low in carbs!
    If so please let me know and where I can buy it and the cost.

    I've had a good year where I've worked out hard doing circuit classes etc. and focused on a healthy diet. (low in carbs, raw or clean food etc.)

    I'm male, 5'10 and dropped from 12st.7 at the start of the year to 11.7.
    My target for next year is to get to a target weight of 10st.11 (i.e. get my body fat as low as reasonably possible) and build some more muscle (i.e. do some heavier weights).

    I'm hoping a really good protein drink will help me somewaht with the building muscle part.

    You are talking about a whey protein drink right?

    Have a look at myprotein.com or discountsupplements.ie for some whey protein, that's if you need it at all. The 20 odd grams of protein from this drink is the same as you'd get from a chicken fillet or a small steak.

    Have you worked out how many grams of protein you need and use per day?

    Take a look at the stickies on nutrition and maybe take a wee look at the supplements thread a couple of threads down for more info.
