It seems everyone in the country is heading out, it doesn't happen that often when everyone finishes work for christmas on a Friday (+ all the end of world stuff and lots of people doing 12 pubs of christmas). Will there be chaos in the city centre(s)? What are your plans?

I love the way whenever there is a discussion about Ireland in any form, those responding automatically assume it must be Dublin, and keep specific, disreguarding the rest of the country as if it doesn't exist/ doesn't matter. Dublin-centric, and I say this as a Dubliner.

I'll be out Thursday night, so by Friday I'll already feel like the world is ending. I may not even notice the apocolypse.

I am not going out, staying at home minding my little girl while my wife is out on a well deserved night out. Alas it is not the last working day before the 25th for a lot of people.

Friday night was the craziest I have ever seen Cork City for taxies. I went to my emergency waiting spot where traffic concentrates coming into the city and taxis were turning down legitimate fares.

I had to go to my theoretical taxi spot. I got one there instantly, but it was nuts I had to go there in the first place.

Cork? This thread is only about people heading out in Dublin.
