About time someone posted something sensible about him,he's greedy & overrated.
Ye are getting him so good luck with that.

    Liverpool

    Players out

    Cole
    Spearing
    Carroll
    Pacheco
    Flanagan (loan)
    Sama (loan)
    Coady (loan)
    Adorjan (loan)
    N'Goo (loan)

    Players In
    Christian Eriksen
    Theo Walcott
    Klass Jan Huntelaar
    Tom Ince

Ajax fan who also follows Liverpool. Don't want Eriksen to leave mid-season but would love if he ended up at Liverpool. Huntelaar would be my number 1 choice. One of my favourite players. Scores goals. Full stop. Walcott and Ince should be whichever could be gotten, no room for both assuming another striker comes in (not sturridge please!!).

I have a feeling loans will be the way to go. In which case why not go for the likes of Kaka or David Villa? Worth a shot..... :p

(Kaka is probably still decent right?)

According to the media in Germany, Huntelaar thinks about staying with Sch****. Sorry, if I destroy any hopes of signing him

Have to correct myself, now Sport1.de saying, he's on the way to Arsenal in January

£179m spent on players the last 6 transfer windows and their team is still a mess. Ridiculous.

Whoever is making the decisions when it comes to transfers has a lot to answer for.

Sturridge had the best spell of his career at Bolton when he was a STRIKER.

He's incredibly greedy because he only thinks like a striker.
If Rodgers can coach it out of him and get him playing properly as a wide forward he'd be a good asset. Or actually play him as a striker.

    Everton
    Budget-Nil
    Need-Striker
Out-Heitinga to fund any deals id imagine. Maybe Forren to replace him and surely Moyes will find another lower league gem for us

It's still a myth like the world ending on Friday. Let's just wait and see which one comes true.

    Sunderland

Huge, glaring need is at center midfield. A Mulumbu/Diame type (obviously those two won't come to us) is what we desperately need. Until we get this sorted we're never going to progress and it may be too late.

A center back would be nice. Michael Dawson has been rumoured and would be decent.

Other than that, keeping hold of Danny Rose would be great as Spurs have an option to recall him in January if they want.

As for outs? Can't see anyone who plays week in, week out going apart from Rose if Spurs want him back but he's not our player anyway. Hopefully players like Campbell and Bramble will be moved on, Ji and a few of the other young lads out on loan. I'd love Bardsley to be on his way too as he's basically a joke at this stage but he'll be needed as cover.

He is awful. How is it that Liverpool continually go for the obviously bad transfer targets?

In: DM (Liam Trotter, Liam Bridcutt), CB, CF/WF (Bony, Finnbogason, Marin - Loan)

Budget: 15M (Depending on Bent transfer)

    The best thing is,

If Bent goes, all those fans with a Bent shirt can just stick an eke on the end and ignore the number to still have a valid jersey :D

12 million for Sturridge will still be alot better business than Carroll.

You're not going to get a young English striker with caps for less than 10million anyway.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Sturridge would actually be a good buy for a mid table team who will play him through the middle, as a striker.

There aren't many transfers that were worse business than Carroll.

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

Yep, it looks like he is. He was supposed to be getting recalled ''next week'' according to O'Neill (meaning sometime this week, as his interview was before the United game) but he hasn't as of yet. Papers today still running with the story that he'll be back for our Christmas period of games.

trying the be realistic with the targets and the players that we can attract without CL football

    In:
Walcott - slim chance of getting him but would add a lot to the squad depth
Ba - at the rumoured price of 7m he would be worth the risk
sturridge - at the right price would be a good option and people are living in a dream world if they think we can get huntalaar or llorente.

I'd take yilmaz over both Ba and sturridge but not sure how gettable he would be

Cover for lucas - should have signed diame for free in the summer
    A left back

    out:
    Cole
Downing - only if we get a left back in as he has been providing cover there

Ah feck being realistic I want Cavani

He's clearly not awful, I don't know where you're getting that from.

    Blackburn Rovers fan.

New owners who hire a good chairman who hires a decent manager.

Then a Centreback, right fullback and central midfielder would do the trick.

Well over the past year his performances have been extremely poor - I don't think that can be argued. Were he not English I'd suspect nobody would bid for him.

Full of his own self importance when he has never fulfilled what I've always heard was his "potential" and consistently put in below average to very poor performances.

Arsenal with a budget of likely £50 and a mars bar, maybe a can of coke if we really splash out.

    In:
Henry on loan, hopefully until the end of the season this time.
The next [insert big name here] on the cheap.

    Out:
Maybe Walcott. Still think he might re-sign when he realises he isnt going to get much better offers elsewhere.

We could do with more, but cant see it happening in January. Quite a few players need shifting before we can really do much.

    Where is Keith Fahey going?

Unlikely to ever play for Clark again.
