I have been struggling for 3 days to pull an injector from an engine . Its just welded there. If I hear once more "give it a good soak with WD40 " , I wont be responsible for my actions . At this stage I actively hate WD40 . Its a water displacement spray and as far as I can see its no use for anything else . The 1000 and 1 uses it supposedly has are a work of modern day marketing cobblers . If anything needs oiling I will use oil .I have progressed from WD40 to a mix of atf and nail varnish remover . No joy . The latest is spray oven cleaner . am not hopeful . Rant over .

I remember all the trouble with the injectors on the renault traffic and renault couldnt get em out for love nor money. KLANN made a special tool for the job and it sold like hot cakes

There's far better penetrating oils than WD40 but none are going to work on a carboned up injector.

    Try kerosene or dettol.

WD40 is a general diy spray it has a lot of applications but there are better dedicated products.
the best penetrating oil I used was made by Chesterton it was 723 or 706 or something like that, it was great stuff, I am sure that there are plenty of other dedicated penetrating oils that are good too. saying that a can of wd40 is handy stuff to have around for general/light work

Have you tried heating the head up with a heat gun, a torch would be good too if you could do it without damaging any wiring or other items.i know when we take thermocouples out of a turbine engine we take a punch and hit the top of the probe attachment nut it shocks them and loosens them.

Its a ssyangyong Kyron, it has a mercedes derived engine .Injector 4 is close enough to the bulk head and its hard to get at . Have just rigged up a type of pullers on it but its hard to work level .Thanks again .

Looks like they can be difficult enough to get out.you may need to get a proper puller

Can you drive it to heat the head up and then use plumbers freezer spray on the injector. The injector might contract enough to turn.

Use a sledgehammer to drive it in as far as it will go. Will save you a lot of grief in the long run.:D(Might not remove the injector but it will make you feel a lot better)
