there are some very good kindle ebooks available on amazon.co.uk for 20p. can change quickly, one of the books i bought on friday has gone back upto £6.83.

I'm not sure, but i thought that the fire hd couldn't be used in ireland - maybe contact amazon customer service or see if there's any info in the gadgets forum
