I had a modified Nissan Skyline back in `08 that I delimited. I loved the car but it was costing 600 euro a month in petrol (which was around a euro a litre then) 2300 a year in insurance. Worst of all was the amount of times I was pulled by the police for no reason whatsoever. A few of the nicer members of the force told me that my car was a cop magnet and that I`d continue to get hassled as it was a stereotypical boy racer car.

I`ve driven way faster cars, a few M3`s, an M5 (beautiful to drive, what a sound from the v10), a v8 AMG Eclass, a few scoobies/evos. My favourite had to be the M5, christ the torque!.

I had a very brief spin (only as a passenger :() in a BMW e39 M5. It was only around the block, but I still got a serious sense of the car's power.

Driven a Ferrari f430, didn't exceed 100mph though. Been for a ride in a merc mclaren SLR, driven a Bentley continental GT and once sat it a Mclaren F1.

Fastest I've personally driven probably 150/160 mph

Would have to be one of these bad boys, even faster going down hills!

M3, Porsche Cayman or a Golf R32 - I'm used to bikes so the acceleration wasn't anything special but going around corners was crazy fast!

Last month I rented a new top-spec BMW M5 from BMW-Welt in Munich for a few hours, took it on the autobahn and got it to 174mph. Everything about the car was amazing, hands down the best drive of my life.

I remember reading somewhere that they had a tendency to overheat and randomly burst into flames. Maybe that's why? :D

Porsche 911, sometime in the late 1980s.

My father had rented it for a business trip and since he got home very late on a Friday had to keep it over the weekend until the dealership re-opened Monday morning.

He took the family for a nice trip that Saturday, which was actually kind of fun. We hit 250 kph on the autobahn, and despite being only a kid I remember the acceleration to this day. Not altogether unlike an airplane at take-off.

The best thing though were the questions we got from the neighbours for the next couple of days. :D

I was offered five grand for it in a garage the other day. It's a t-bar and turbo and it's in fantastic condition so it's definitely worth a few quids. Not for sale though. ;)

Depends on how you drive it! I was pleasantly surprised but it's still a bit of a guzzler.
