Coming up on the Saturday Night Show this week:

Idris Elba AKA Stringer Bell, the star of one of the best TV series ever made, The Wire will be in to talk about his upcoming role playing Nelson Mandela and how The Wire changed his life.

The legend in a leotard, 90's keep fit guru Mr Motivator is in to tell us what he's doing now and he may even show us some of his famous exercise moves!

Star of The Goodies and wildlife expert Bill Oddie.

Donegal football manager Jim McGuinness will also be appearing on the show, he'll chat to Brendan about his first week with Celtic, bringing the Sam Maguire back to Donegal this year and the other Jimmy will probably get a mention (Jimmy Senegal) along with that song - "Jimmy's Winning Matches"!!

Music on the night will be performed by Dublin brothers Hudson Taylor with their single Cinematic Lifestyle.

    Edit:
Mary Coughlan, the singer will also be on the show.

I think Jim McGuinness should be signed up by Maguire and Patterson to advertise for them. It's a win/win situation.

Very clever Harry - I was racking my brain to figure out what the reference to Maguire and Patterson was about but I think I have it :D

    Jimmy is winning matches!

Bill Oddie has gone very serious...

I saw him on BBC one morning last week and he was on a serious rant about birds, he really is passionate about his wildlife.....He's right too....

I've never seen The Wire but it always seems to get great reviews.

This should be a great show.....

I hope Mr Motivator isn't wearing his leotard.......I remember that a little bit too much!.......:D;)

I had to laugh at the comment last night from the Boardie's child who said he couldn't do the presenters job "cos he makes the babies cry"......That was a classic!.....Poor Brendan....face for radio!!....:D

'Tractor Boy' definitely stole the show last night, he reminded me so much of Dinny Byrne from Glenroe.

There is a "public" car park in Montrose as far as I know. Just ask at reception (reception should be on your right opposite the big mast).

Fair play to him. Considering they tried to kill the game last year, they progressed well this year to become the finished article.

Brendan said that Mary Coughlan will be appearing on the show, I presume it's the singer and not the former FF TD.

I'm wondering if one of the guests has failed to show as Mary wasn't originally on the guest list.

As Jim himself would say they were only months into their "five year" game plan so it was unreal that they got as far as they did last year!

I wonder will Brendan ask him about the time he walked out of the press conference after winning the All Ireland and only returned when a certain journalist left the room.

Let's hope she just sings a song and then fecks off. Otherwise we'll be told the story of her life for the umpteenth time; alcoholism, Sinead O'Connor, blah blah blah

Enjoyable interview. O'Connor isn't doing that flippant style that doesn't always suit the interviewee.
