to be honest im just checking as orders come in. there are at least two medium and one large which are in my cart. postage seems to be $37.12 min but goes up a bit depending on order.

as i say im rubbish at organising but just wanted to put in order before stuff runs out. sets are $25 each.

will close this off at 3pm just so it doesnt get out of hand.

    any other interest?

Any idea of the cost at all? I'd be interested in long sleeve large but just wondering around what cost am I looking at.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,386 ✭✭✭lennymc

fyi - they dont mix sizes on the kit. If you select mediuim its medium top and shorts.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 449 ✭✭Smokeyskelton

Aarrgh! No problems until went to pay and wont accept it. Embarrassing and annoying in the extreme!

Very sorry and apologies to everyone but wont accept my card. no reason given.

    Anyone else want to try?

    p.s. Balls!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,783 ✭✭✭RidleyRider

Guys no offence but you are better off paying for these individually, by the time they get delivered to the person who buys them for the group and by the time he/she posts them to you the price will be the same. And also the paypal charge is to be included.

I understand that but nobody has stepped up to do it so why wait? It'll cost more in the long run anyway.

Don't say I didn't tell you so when

    1. They run out of stock or

    2. It costs more with a group buy.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,147 ✭✭✭Morrisseeee

So................did anyone buy...............and have you received your merchandise yet ??

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 9,345 ✭✭✭RobertFoster

I bought, but no sign of anything yet. Reading the bargain alerts thread it seems like others are in the same situation. **** service really, especially since the cost of postage was half the order.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,481 ✭✭✭TheBlaaMan

Hmm...my finger hovered over the buy button, but then I looked at my credit card balance. :o

    Bullet. Dodged.

    Dear Customer:

We wanted to let you know the status of your pending order from the BMC Racing Team webshop.

Due to some items being out of stock, many orders were held up. We are now taking immediate action so as not to further delay getting your order to you. Our shipping company began sending out pending orders this week.

If an item you ordered is no longer in stock, we have substituted it with a same/similar item of higher quality. For instance, team replica arm and leg warmers orders are being filled with official BMC Racing Team-issue, Hincapie Sportswear branded versions. If a same or similar item is not available, you may request a refund.

Please accept our apologies for this inconvenience. We have done our best to rectify this situation and we believe this is the quickest solution to get items you ordered – that are available – in your hands immediately.

If you have a question after receiving your order, please email us back at this address. We will continue to work diligently to make sure your shopping experience with us is a satisfying one.

We appreciate your support of the BMC Racing Team.

    Regards,

BMC Racing Team Webshop Customer Support

Yeah but by the sounds of it you could end up with top quality gear

Did everyone get that email, or only those who contacted them since ordering?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,830 ✭✭✭catweazle

Didnt recieve any email, this was on their Facebook site, they seem to be ok at responding on their facebook and twitter accounts. I hate companies who think that updating a Facebook or Twitter account is sufficient for customer service

I cant stand both of them

My order arrived today. Ordered on the 26th, so 19 working days  At least the postage price was reasonable

Nice kit. The jersey material is quite heavy (compared to boardsie stuff), and I think it might be a bit waterproof. The chamois is soft, I'll have to see what it's like after a spin.

I'm only a Fred if the bike matches the kit, right? :p

Just wondering who delivered your gear, maybe on the off chance mine will arrive tomorrow or Monday.

My kit also arrived today. I went for long sleve medium. Jersey in on the short, it barely reaches my waste. apart from that cant complain at that price.

An Post delivered it. My postman is working tomorrow and Monday, so I assume it's the same throughout the country.

Mine arrived yesterday aswell, it's a nice piece of kit, the long sleve jersey is perfect for those windy/cold days but a tad warm for the summer I'd imagine, and also a special mention for the key ring & carry-bag ;)

The pricks just cancelled my order. A month later and won't process a refund until January 3rd

That sucks. You'll be +/- a few cent given the exchange rate difference from when they took the money to when they refund it too. Make sure you kick up a fuss if you're left short anything.

I wouldn't recommend the BMC shop to anyone in the future given the way they're organised. Long delays, poor communication, expensive postage, and no tracking or anything like that. You get a better service from an eBay seller than you do from their online store.

How'd you find out they cancelled the order?

Haven't heard anything about my order - so still quietly hoping....

I received the following email cancelling the order:
    Dear Customer:

It is with great regret that I inform you that we will be unable to process your order for fulfillment. Unfortunately, one or more of the items within your order could not be fulfilled due to insufficient inventory. Due to the structure on the backend of our online store and order processing system we are unable to process partial cancellations. Therefore, we are not able to cancel just those items that are not available and will have to cancel your entire order.

No problems with that, apart from the fact that they held the garage sale after the on-line sale. They should of put the stuff aside as the on-line orders came in and then sold the leftovers. It was all a bit of a shambles really...shame as I was looking forward to some nice cheap gear.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,393 ✭✭✭Grassey

Cheers! Havent gotten an email from them so i will still vainly hope. I ordered a ridiclous amount of stuff though so odds are at least one part wont be in stock.

If i do get the mail ill definelty kick up a fuss with them especially seeing as the website has a notice up re substitution!

Mine came there last week, the long sleeve jersey will get a lot of use, amazing offer. Shorts seem really good also but will have to wait a while.

I tried the shorts out yesterday. They're ok. My jersey is huge more like a jacket.
