Buying books. I really should get round to reading the 60 odd I have sitting here before I buy anymore :D

Spending money I don't have on ridiculous items I don't particularly need. But they make me feel good, so meh.

    You're a bad girl! Bad! ;)

Drinking. I don't do much else anymore that could be called a vice, unfortunately (they were fun times) and fortunately (because I'm healthier now) in equal measures.

Buying clothes. And bags. Maybe also shoes.

Smoking when I've had a few drinks.

Swiftly followed by staying in bed all day, the day after a late night out on the town - dossing on the internet, eating rubbish and regretting having smoked the night before.

    Eating ALL of the chocolate.

Also lie in for far too long on the weekends

Make up and nail polish. I'd find it very difficult to go to Penney's and not pick up a little Essence nail polish!

Smoking. Even though its disgusting. I really don't wanna quit... just yet.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 667 ✭✭✭lola85

Also smoking. I badly need to give up. Oh and Chinese food .... Would happily order all the time if I could afford it and it was not so bad!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 429 ✭✭havetoquit

Internet Window Shopping addiction....well almost. Chocolate, Homus dip with Italian bread sticks, coffee and biscuits. The only way I can deal with the last list is not to bring them into the house, end of.

    Chocolate and crisps, unfortunately :s

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,469 ✭✭✭Pythia

    Anything with sugar in it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,032 ✭✭✭Bubblefett

My short attention span. I really am the most distractable person ever.

Also crisps. I'm not allowed to buy them in multipacks anymore cause I just eat them all (especially walked s&v baked or monster munch)

Wine. Red wine in front of a cosy fire, white wine in the summer sitting outside, sparkling wine to make any occasion special.
Rosé when you don't really want wine. :pac:
Food, particularly bad for me food like chips and cheese and chocolate.

Chips and cheese and chocolate - oh my!

    procrastination

panicking & worrying about silly things that deserve neither panic nor worry

    Over-sensitivity

I can have a short temper at times.

Crisps, I'd pick crisps over chocolate any day. I really try avoid them because when I get those six packs of burger bites or chickatees I devour the six packets within the hour and feel like such a glutton after.:o

    Diet coke.

Crisps I used to be addicted to seriously and haven't had a packet in about 4 months now! No idea why, I just moved on. I'm sorry crisps, we had a good run.... Maybe we can be snack buddies once in awhile but I can't commit anymore.

All the good food that's bad for me. :(

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 5,080 ✭✭✭McChubbin

    In no particular order:
Tumblr, Facebook, food blogs and recipe sites, window shopping on Amazon for things I can barely afford, sushi, chocolate, cheesecake, cooking, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, smutty fiction, books, boots, collecting pens.

There's tons more but I'm too tired to list the lot!

I tried tequila beer yesterday and it may just develop into a new vice for me.

Leather goods. Including, but not especially shoes.

I'm a pushover for things like a really nice wallet or a nice hobo style shoulder bag. My latest favourite is a butter-yellow leather weekend bag. They don't have to be designer, and fabric ones can be nice, but I never buy 'faux leather'. Hate the stuff. I also love nice tooled leather Kindle covers and diaries. I don't have a leather fetish in other areas ;)

Ooh, nice quality stationary and fountain pens too!

Is it still considered a vice if you actively nurture it? :pac:

Oh that's ok, cause I try to kerb my wine drinking at times, but I'd like to cultivate my shoe vice some more :p

If you indulge one vice, it will help you with managing another. So by that logic, you have to buy more shoes to avoid having to drink wine.

Tv shows. If I start watching a series that I like I will happily stay in bed for as long as I possibly can and watch as much of it as is humanly possible. I have a big list of shows to tear into once this semester's assignments are over, can't afford to start watching anything new at the risk of failing my masters.
I also smoke, which I hate, but the thoughts of that and a cup of coffee are what currently get me through a day in the library so I'm not quite ready to kick that vice just yet...

Chocolate and shoes - equal passion for both! Can't just buy one bar of chocolate in the shop and never seem to be able to buy just one pair of shoes either!! At least the evidence of the chocolate can be discarded easily but not so for the shoes .... can't keep using the same line ... these old things!!!!!!!

Indulging in salty tayto snacks is my favourite vice. I cannot be trusted around a sack of crisps or chips.
