Hi, i have purchased a Campark 4k dash cam and also purchased a new Kingston 32gb class 10 sd card to go with it, i setup dash cam up and put in new SD card and formatted it as per instructions, the problem is it started recording when i started car, then i stopped car and restarted and get on screen message "make sure SD card is available" i press ok and then drive on, it does not start recording, tried format again, starts recording at first then stop car and restart get same massage "make sure SD card is available".
Anyone have a Campark 4k or what the problem could be.

I am googling here, try formating on computer & retrying again on dash cam see does it still come up with same problem.
Another one reset the dash can if it has a reset button & see will it recognise the card or come up with the same fault.

    Here's my offering.

Long Story Short: this is our own company car, which we had at our UK sales office. Brexit shennanigans means we've closed that office and the operation there is now wound up, and so we brought it home.

Car is in perfect condition, and open to any inspection.

2016 535d. Mad, barking torque monster- you know the drill.
    53k miles.

    2016 [162] BMW 535d 3.0L, Twin Turbo, M-Sport, F10 - One Owner From New, Very High Spec.
    313 BHP - 148g/Km Co2
    Dakota Black Leather Electric Seats
    Multi-Function Steering Wheel
    18" Alloys - New Tyres [95%]
    Rear Reversing Camera
    BMW 3-D Sat Nav

Just had service at Colm Quinn (Galway) including the EGR recall upgrade done.

Price on the ad includes VRT: we have a TAN number its on Revenue's system as in our stock, but is not cleared yet. If you're looking to buy for NI/UK, we can sell as-is and you can take it out of the state now with a straight price without VRT.

We are getting a new LCV, so this has to go, so come and talk to (me/us). - PM for my contact details or use the ones on the ad. It's the cheapest here by a long shot, and there's no strings attached.

We had one before. Has a timing chain with no change interval as well from what I remember. Might be worth mentioning to a potential seller. If you ring a toyota main dealer and give them the reg they can confirm.

After 3 years of ownership I'm selling the CL. I've been neglecting the others and it's time to change that. It's had lots of time and money put into it and I wish I could keep it too but I miss my SL

    Hiya,
Can I please ask what you all think of this?

Seems like a good deal price-wise, maybe too good to be true?
    Thanks!

If the max SD card is 16g I would forget about it . Better off to buy a 512 or 612 . Similar prices and they fit for 35e

    Hello,

looking for advice on NextBase cameras.

Specifically, what is the difference between series 1 and series 2 cameras?

I presume series 2 are newer, more features??

    I am looking at a 312GW at 65GBP on amazon.co.uk, free delivery.

    But I'm worried that I should go for a 2nd series, i.e. a x2x model?

We replaced the 312s with the 322 a couple months ago.

Big differences are that you can connect to the cam. via WiFi to an app. on your phone to download clips and plug in a modular rear cam. There's also an emergency call and a couple of other features. Plus it's a (very strong) magnetic fixed mount not a sucker.

I think it's a worthwhile upgrade on the 312 albeit more expensive.

We got the nextbase SD cards to avoid any compatibility issues I hope.

Lads quick Question, Would we have any need for a Cpl Filter (for blackvue) here in ireland since the weather is not that bright ? ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,863 ✭✭✭✭inforfun

I have to say, connecting your phone to your cam via wifi is really handy.

The Yi does that and it takes just a few seconds to just rip the part you want of the cam's storage.

Question: are there such things as "wireless" dashcams, and I mean that literally: our car's small and wires from the GPS are already a bit disruptive to driving, so I'm wondering about good dash-cameras that can run & run off battery, without the need to be connected to the charging port 24/7.

Heck, a GPS / dashcam combination would probably solve both issues - again, if a good, inexpensive one exists...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,863 ✭✭✭✭inforfun

A dashcam with a battery large enough to keep it powered for a while would be too heavy and pull your windscreen out of its frame....

A phone could double up as a satnav (i assume you mean that with gps) and dashcam with the right apps

  • Moderators, Category Moderators, Entertainment Moderators Posts: 36,711 CMod ✭✭✭✭pixelburp

Yeah, GPs === satnav. Hmmm ok then, what about combo units? There such a thing?

Basically just trying to limit the number of wires here; we use the satnav quite a bit but a little paranoid about other motorists these days, and wouldn't mind an un-intrusive option.

Are you using the cigarette lighter port (or whatever it's called these days)? If so, get it hardwired in and the cables will be hardly noticable. I have about 4 cm of cable on show, where the wire pops out near the rear view mirror to plug into my dashcam.

Yup. Garmin makes satnav+dashcam combos. They're not cheap though.
