I got the advance code for the half price offers very early this month! The code is 041493 and it can be used from today.

The items on offer are :
All Christmas tree lights half price
All Christmas themed candles half price
    All massage cushions half price

I guess when you have the tree decorated, you can relax with the cushion! Hope the above is of use to someone.

A little off topic but I seen a Christmas tree I like in there during the week. It was €130. I know they did half price christmas trees last year. Does anyone remember was it early December or very close to Christmas?

It must have been around now/start of December, as my mother got a lovely one there and lets just say, shes not too slow at putting the decorations up

Last year I got a lovely 6ft tree in homebase about 2 weeks before christmas reduced to €15.99 from over €150, got the lights in Homestore and More last year as well. Might get a different colour scheme for the decorations this year if they're going cheap enough!

    good question btw,
do i need just to tell this code at till?

What I do normally do with the advance sale items, is take the stuff to the checkout and tell them you got the email with the latest offers on it. AFAIK everyone gets the same code. If either of you would like the email, PM me your email and I can send it on if you like. HTH

Worked a treat for me today and saved 50% on 3 boxes of lights! Thanks op!

I got the email too, and when I got to the till with my lights, I just 'double checked' that they were half price (still full price on the shelf) - the checkout woman then just asked the girl beside her for the code and off I went. I think just knowing they're half price is enough - actually I suspect that I would've got them for half price no matter what - sort of defeats the purpose a bit, but whatev

  • I'd like to purchase a Yankee candle which has been reduced to €13. Can I use the code to get another 50% off and therefore get it for around €7? Thank you! :)

I think I'm signed in all the time. I thought I must have offended one of you when I saw all the PM notifications! I hope you have all got the mail, if not, I can resend. And again, apologies - Merry Christmas by the way ;) A.

This is a lovely Yankee sampler set for €15, makes a great ready-made gift. The pack is designed to look like a Christmas book: http://www.homestoreandmore.ie/candles/12-days-of-christmas-sampler-set/invt/054744/#

No one was noticing them when I was there the other day as they were all closed on the shelf. Nice set for €15.

Went to the one in Mahon yesterday placed was jammed Queues were mental absolute mayhem in there.

Nearly all the Christmas stuff is half price all lights anyway.Outdoor reindeer and sliigh set was half price @30 euro I think.

The shop was packed so hard to browse around, last year they just seemed to be the blue multi function light.I seen blue purple pink and red alot better selection this year.

Maybe I just love simple things, but I'm delighted with their lights. Is it possible that they're the cheapest lights in the world!? :P

Hong Kong eBay store prices can't even seem to compete with HS+M's half price prices? Or am I just looking in the wrong places? (picked up 360 multicoloured lights for €25, but wouldn't mind having some more lights "just incase". So wondering if I should just bite the bullet and head back to HS+M, or if they'll all be knocked down on price in every other store after christmas anyway (I don't need them til february, but just buying them now as HS+M's prices seem so good).

End of the month, or when stock runs out, whichever comes first.

"When they're gone, they're gone" is unfortunately true :(

What they do Sarah, is give people the opportunity to get the "insider" info on what the next months offer is three days advance if you sign up either instore or online. Decembers upcoming offers actually went live last week, a week earlier than usual. You would normally get the email/text on the 28th of the month. HTH.

Maybe this is just me but...

most of our tree lights came from Pennys and Dunnes and we have them five years without a problem. They cost about €3-5 each. The indoor lights in Homestore cost from €40 upwards so I thought they were really expensive, even at half price. Didn't seem like much of a bargain to me

So 9 euro 99 cents for 100 LED lights isnt good then???

    Fair enough.

How about 8 euro for 100 clear LED lights in Tesco.:D

360 lights for €25 is, in my opinion, the best value. Having them all on one plug is the handy thing, in my opinion.

I was in homestore in Nutgrove last night and many of the lights were half price .... is this code an additional half price on that price?

(read this 12 hours too late !!)

No, the code is to give them half price before they are actually priced at half price on the shelves. Once they're marked down then the code becomes redundant.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,332 ✭✭✭tatli_lokma

I've heard this being advertised on the radio as available throughout the store and no need for a code.
So what's the purpose of the code if you can get them half price anyway without it???
I know it usually comes out about a week or so earlier than the store discounts to give 'insiders' a head start, but I got my code and 2 days later when I went to make use of it the stock was already reduced. Seems a bit pointless. Its really only any good for stuff that they have very limited stock of, but 2 days is hardly any benefit - you need at least a week so you can get the email and then get to the store.

Read the thread; code gives you discount 3 days before the advertised prices change.

Read my post - I only got my code 2 days before (well actually less than that as it arrived in my inbox at about 9.30pm). It was of no benefit really.

Perhaps they weren't achieving their targets on numbers sold so brought it forward for all shoppers?
