The site has been redesigned since last year so hopefully will be more able to handle the pressure. When it did work last year, there were some good bargains to be had.

Gamestop UK are also having a Black Friday sale. Might have some different offers that you can buy and have delivered via Parcel Motel.

Deleted my account with them after that thread above..

.. did get BF3 last year in this for €27, though still wrapped.

They'll take your order and then when its not delivered and you contact them, they'll then tell you they cancelled your order and won't be fulfilling the contract as its in their terms and conditions that they can do what they like.

Don't rely on them for Christmas presents I say.

Have a read of the attached link. Terrible company that have ZERO regard for their customers.

Not if they were giving the stuff away. One too many bad experiences.

    Shower of wasters IMO

jesus.. reading last years thread... they treat people like dirt.

Not to take away from what others here are saying about Gamestop.ie, but I've always found them to be excellent. I too got Battlefield 3 (Limited Edition - even though the normal box-art was shown on the website) for €27 last year. I've ordered regular, full-price releases from them, all have been delivered 1 day before launch. I previously ordered SFxT, paid for in full, and cancelled at the last moment (because f**k Capcom) and was refunded with no issues. I also changed delivery address once or twice after placing orders, but before shipping. I genuinely can't find fault with them.

I'm not saying they're flawless, but I am saying I'd have no hesitation in ordering from them again.

As a newcomer to this Black Friday, is it just games/accessories etc, or are there deals on console bundles too?

Just am on the lookout for a decent PS3 bundle soon.

    Cheers :)

Read the thread i posted. you might and might not get what you order so be careful.

Maybe they will drop some prices to match other highstreet retailers.

I get no excitement or interest in Gamestop sales in general, nevermind black friday.

Amazon and Steam would be better places to throw you money, Amazon have some outragous pricing on console games too, nevermind the consoles themselves.

It's online only, and a new deal per hour, then iirc from last year, they open up all the deals on 2/3 occasions,

I'd be the same Burning Eclipse, I've bought off them numerous times online and never had a problem. There generally overpriced but if there's any good deals tomo I would have no hassles buying something online from them.

Maybe this is obvious to most but I found last year that following them on twitter meant you got an hourly heads up on the next deal and it was far handier than checking back to the site.

Absolute garbage if true. I thought they said they were selling the Xbox holiday bundle?

    Very disappointed.

Was hoping for a good price on NSMB2 as Asda in the UK were selling it for £15 today. At €32 inc. delivery I think i'll wait.

They had some decent deals on games last year, some reasonably new releases for 25 odd euro, was hoping for similar this year, sucks if that's everything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,313 ✭✭✭blaa85

It's just a load of 3rd party Wii accessories (not sure if they are even on sale?) and headphones at the moment.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,356 ✭✭✭NeVeR

doesn't seem to be working !! - anyone else seeing deals yet ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,962 ✭✭✭Hogey007

same here and the games that it did mention they were going to have

the new need for speed one at €35. I thought it would have been €25.

if thats all they have to offer (what i can see now) then it's a pretty s**t sale!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,160 ✭✭✭tok9

They've put up a lot of stuff but I really hope that isn't it. Some aren't even big discounts. Eg. Borderlands for 40 euro.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,763 ✭✭✭alastair_doom

PS Vita + NFS for €189 is pretty good (i think)

    http://www.gamestop.ie/PS%20Vita/Games/44272/ps-vita-nfs-most-wanted-wifi-console-bundle

Most of the game prices are insulting

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 435 ✭✭Decky86

Pretty sucky alright.. Just incase anyone here wants to buy a xbox360 today and thinks that deal is good. WAIT! .. They will have the same deal (xbox, forza, skyrim) next week but with any EA game for free! (One of which is a boxset of all the mass effects)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 931 ✭✭✭aperture_nuig

The NFS Vita deal is the only thing worth bothering with, terrible sales this year from Gamestop and amazon, looks like Valve get all my Christmas money

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 335 ✭✭sassa

Can they be bought discounted in store or is it online only?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,907 ✭✭✭bennyc

I have ti get a 3ds XL will I get better than 189 for device only ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 734 ✭✭✭twinsen

Terraria is for 14 euro, while on steam it costs 3.74e :)
