Where to buy epoxy resin if you don't live in Dublin?

We're in west Donegal, and my husband needs some epoxy resin (and catalyst/hardener I presume) for a boat he's building.

We're near Killybegs, but the marine suppliers there only seem to have the little repair kits - he needs a decent size container of it. Dublin's too far for a day trip - is there anywhere nearer us, or anyone who'll send it here?

He doesn't need any advice service with it, as he's well experienced in making things with fibreglass & resin.

With fibreglass there are two kinds of resin you commanly use Polyeser and Epoxy - either way you could try a surf board shaper http://www.powersourcesurfboards.com/ or http://www.waxonsurfboards.ie/

Power source may also do a whole sale service. seabase.co.uk may shop to ireland. You may also get lucky with west bay surfboards in Portrush they do alot of epoxy boards and could tell you where they get theirs.

Wow - thank you everyone. I came to the computer to follow up an advert we found for West System, and saw your replies!
I found it hard to get the right search terms for relevant results, but we have the leads we needed, thanks to you.

West systems are a bit like Apple as in their price is universal so it should be more or less the same wherever you get it they also have a great website that explains everything you need to know http://www.westsystem.com/ss/ .
If you have any questions on the boat building end if things feel free to ask and we will try to help out in return for a few photos of the build :D

Thanks fergal.b! I'll pass that on to him.

He's only at the stage of cutting out the plywood moulds/formers (that it'll be built around). We're taking photos of the progress, but I don't know if they'll be of any interest. He didn't design it - he bought the plans, and there are photos of the boats in progress on the designer's website.

It won't really get going for a while (the thawing-out breaks are quite frequent!).

When I was in Cornwall a few years ago and re-decking a boat, these boys were the cheapest around. They have a fearsome range of stuff. I don't know if they would be cheaper with delivery though.

I told them the measurements of the deck, and they made up a list of everything that was needed including stirrers, rollers, glass, resin, solvent, hardeners etc. Might be worth a look.

    Thanks colrow.
It doesn't look as if they deliver to R.O.I, but it looks like a helpful website re the subject generally, and the forum could be useful.
We've now heard of a place that sells epoxy resin in Letterkenny (just a 2-hour round trip away), so it seems a good idea to look there first of all.
