i baught a lapierre audcio 200 near the end of the summer, i got it for 650 i think something around that, it was shop soiled there was two scratches on the frame, but when i went for a cycle this morning i noticed my back wheel was rubbing of the brakes so when i spun the wheel it wasnt running straight bbut i noticed where one of the spokes goes into the centre of the wheel, where it goes at a right angle is broken could that have anything to do with it or could the bearnings be gone inthe back wheel?

It will be the broken spoke doing it alright. They all should be under similar tension and they sort of pull at the rim from different angles. If you look at where the spoke is meant to be pulling the rim is probably popping out at that point. If the spoke was in place it would pull the rim back in at that point.

It is lucky you caught it early, if you continue to cycle the buckle will get worse and worse, and the other spokes will weaken as they are now under abnormal stress.

You will just need to get a new spoke, I would not cycle it again if possible. If you have the old spoke bring it to the shop. Its an easy enough job to do yourself if it is not too bad, or else get the shop to do it, dunno what they would charge. You should use a spoke key to tighten but I have used adjustable spanners in the past. If you have any doubt best get a shop to do it, wheelbuilding is an artform!

If you let it go too long and do fix it you can expect other spokes to start breaking as they will have been weakened. Some might do a bodge job and tighten the other spokes to fix it temporarily, but it probably weakens them even more.

EDIT: just copping on you said the back wheel, this can be a lot harder to fix than a front one, you might not be able to put on a new spoke easily depending what side it is on.

I had ones break after going over a bad bump or hitting a kerb. Could have been a faulty spoke from the beginning with a flaw that only showed up now. You should check the tension of your spokes from time to time, squeeze 2 between your fingers, they should be similar all the way around, if you come across loose ones others might be too tight and having too much stress and could break.
