So last week went something like this:
Rick is seen to be furious and mentally deranged as he picks up his axe lying in the prison's courtyard, heading to find Lori's body, slaughtering various Walkers along the way. Hershel sends Daryl and Maggie off to get formula for the baby., and Daryl puts Beth in charge of Carl. Axel and Oscar helps Glenn dig three graves for the fallen ones. Hershel appears and Glenn goes to find Rick, attempting to convince him to rejoin them outside. Rick slams Glenn against the wall before walking off without a word. When he finally reaches the boiler room, he discovers Lori's body is gone, but follows a blood streak to find a bloated Walker in a stupor from overeating. Rick shoots the Walker in the head before stabbing its stomach multiple times. Meanwhile, Daryl and Maggie has returned. The group, now with Axel and Oscar, is gathered in Cell Block C. While sitting in a daze on the floor of the boiler room, Rick distantly hears a baby wail and a phone ring. Rick walks up and answers the phone, saying "Hello?"
In Woodbury there is a party. Michonne leaves after finding some caged walkers. She kills them all, and threatens the Governor. After she has left, Milton, Martinez, Merle and Tim go off to find some new walkers for the big event that evening; a fight between Merle and Martinez with chained walkers around them. Andrea comments on it, saying that it's "sick".
The big cliffhangers are where is Carol and who was on the phone?
If they go another episode without going looking for Carol it would be making a statement about the group's priorities.

Will Andrea go away from or towards the governor?

    I can't wait!

Good luck... unfortunately you're on your own there.

I'm sure you know but just for new users, the Television charter applies here and there is already a ban in place on posting about streams... even to foreign channels :(

    i know yes.

    predictions?
Carol to be found somwhere within the prison with an inexplicable excuse for why whe hasnt seen for 2 episodes.
t-dogg to return in a hallucination of rick's, much like sinead o'connor in "the butcher boy"..

Think there will also be some conflict between Andrea/Michonne and the Woodbury group.
Cant see the Governor letting them go freely.

I think it will be Andrea who chooses the Governor. I think he has a cult-leader personality that pulls in people like Andrea.

when the walker jumped on her she disemboweled it and all it's bits went over her so assuming thats why , similiar to season 1 in Atlanta

Already better than the complete season 2.

As weird as this sounds... I still can't get SE1EP1 out of my head.
Came back from a Halloween party and my housemate was pissed out of his mind shouting, "You have got to see this!"
He then started playing this film on his laptop... I didn't want to be rude so sat there for 10 mins and I was hooked!
That was over 2 years ago and the moment when he got into the tank is still etched in my mind.

had a feeling it was carol in the room at the end
next week's preview has gotten me so impatient :(

I don't know how Carol ended up in that room, she exited out the door which leads out onto the courtyard outside where everybody was just a few minutes ahead of Rick and Daryl. She should have met everyone else outside.

All the same, great episode. Can't wait to see how the group reacts to Michonne's news about Glenn and Maggie.

Naw, not Dharma Initiative. Currently watching through Lost for the first time, the Dharma logo is burned into my head.

    yeah new forum :D:D:D:D

another great episode, season 3 has been epic, not really surprised there wasnt anyone on the phone, hershal was probably contemplating putting rick out of his misery with a hatchet, but he managed to snap out of it:),

how did merle come across glenn and maggie, didnt he head back the opposite way to michonne, it should make things interesting when the govenor comes to the prison and see her :D

andrea seems to be falling under the govenors spell, i do wonder how they are gonna play out the govenors character, he just seems to good a character to waste after 1 season, but you know himself and rick are gonna come face to face in 2 weeks for the mid season finale,

dont suppose a MOD could pop in a poll

how cool is Michael Rooker as Meryl. Brilliant character, glad hes back

    Another great episode!

Its been quite a while since I have spent a week cracking up to see the next installment of a series!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11,631 ✭✭✭✭Hank Scorpio

Found the whole phone call thing a bit meh. I like how the distance between the 2 groups is practially nil now, should set up the mid season finale nicely!

Not looking forward to the mid season finale, break is too long! :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 305 ✭✭Offside

Really enjoyed the episode but did find it a tad predictable, had been excited about the phone all week but after the first phone call I had suspicions it was all in Rick's head and found this confirmed after he sent Hershel away and he was the only character ever present for a phonecall.

Ditto with the early ignoring of the door "We'll get the Zombie in there later" - they were clearing the place, why wait? Knew it would have to be carol.

Can't wait until next week however. Give them some more time to flesh out Michonne's character and it looks like Glenn is going to be in for some serious interrogation in Woodsbury over where the prison is located. Looking forward to seeing the Governor and Rick come face to face - will they now start fortifying the prison with the news from Michonne? Should be an interesting lead up to the mid season finale!

I'm expecting something really scummy from either Merle or The Governor before the break happens. I found it difficult trying to judging where Merle was at as a person but after this episode, I've come to the conclusion that he's the same **** he's always been.

Another great episode, I'd say when Hershel picked up the phone it was dead, but chose not to say anything for fear of sending an already mentally fragile Rick over the edge. Maybe that was obvious though. ;)

I think he didn't notice the guts on her body.

i thought there might be something else to it. I mean, she's been walking around with walkers for nearly a year, and now she realises that they bypass her if she has some guts on her???

I think they won't bother with fortification and go straight to rescue mode, which could be a major issue if the groups miss each other, for example, Rick, Daryl and Michonne head off to search for Glen and Maggie and leave the others unprotected, and at the same time the Gov and his posse head to the prison which is unfortified and has barely any protectors left.....dum dum dum....who lives and who dies...??

my prediction for next week is for something bad to happen to Maggie which in turn will make Glen snap and give away the location of the prison

Loved the way Michonne used her Samurai sword like a joystick after she plunged it into that guys guts to use him as a human shield as Merle Shot at her :D

Hate how Andrea is being portayed

    +1

I really like her character. I thought once Shane was gone she'd made her last bad judgement call on a man.

Although I do predict better things for her in future episodes/seasons.

    Great episode.

I was thinking when Daryll and Carl were having their "Our mom's are dead" chat, I wasn't bored by it :D

Really reminded me of the INCREDIBLY boring scene with the women washing their clothes in the stream (First season?) but somehow was just done better.

Loved Michonne turning up with the baby food. I can see Rick, Daryl and Michonne being one ridiculously bad ass bunch.

I fear the worst for Maggie though.

Only 2 episodes left before the mid season break? Booooooooooo

God i've been waiting for aggggeeees for Andrea to become who she is in the comics and i've made allowances for her, But bloody hell she's like a horny teenager I hope shes next to go to be honest!!

Was gutted Michonne didn't try and help Glen and Maggie too , I fear the worse for them there both harmless, Love Merle so far he's such a dick best character in the series tbh, also i hate that the phone thing is seemingly done with now :/ this lasted way longer in the comics,

Oh man maggie is goosed, can't wait for next episode!! I love how they show took 2 brand new characters, meryll and darrell, and have them great story arcs. I have a feeling we will see a bro vs bro showdown soon!

that ep rocked - afraid to read the full thread, worried for poor ole Maggie - I know it's an interrogation, but I can deal with anything except any sexual brutality - I haven't read the comics so I don't know how bad the Guv is............

    Great episode.

Love the way Merle had begun to seem halfway normal then reverted to total psycho.

SO my prediction is that Michonne is gonna tell Ricks gang about Maggie, Glenn and Merle, and Ricks gang (including Daryl) are gonna go to Woodbury to get their people back. Poor Daryl, awful moral dilemma coming up for him, his bro versus his friends - ouch!

What the hell is Andrea playing at?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 29,828 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

I liked the fact they actually got the actors back to do the voices on the phone. And they worked around the mystery voice in the comics by having the 3 characters we haven't heard in a while talking.

Was hoping Michonne would come to the rescue of Glenn and Maggie by pointing out Merle was bad news

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,238 ✭✭✭javagal

Totally agree that the calls are in Ricks head. Do we know the voices?
Edit: just watched the rest, never mind!

also i hate that the phone thing is seemingly done with now :/ this lasted way longer in the comics,

Yeah I agree, they used it as a switch to get Rick back on track as opposed to showing his longing for Lori and his state of mental health.

I really liked Andrea in Season 2, now she's just a delirious hornbag.

Loving Season 3 so far, already more action that season 2, which is always good.

Be interesting to see how the Merle and Glenn/Maggie situation develops but we already know from the season trailer what happens there.

The whole brodown thing will be interesting. Wasn't Darryl always looked down on by Merle? seen as his weaker younger brother? something along those lines. I remember back when Darryl was trying to climb to safety and he saw visions of Merle and it provided Darryl with the inspiration to pick himself up. He could be all out to prove his brother wrong this time though. I can't see him making peace with him at all, thats just my opinion on it!

Also, if Maggie is in anyway harmed, I'll have to contact Merle or the Governor to arrange a 1 on 1 fist fight.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,997 ✭✭✭Grimebox

Great episode but Merle managing to kidnap Glenn and whats-her-name was ridiculous. They both are point guns at him and they thrown off by him firing a bullet between them??? Makes no sense

Really enjoying this season, so far every episode has left me wanting the next episode!!

Michonne has really started to come into this season after the early criticism. At least she's using the sword!!

Although I was curious as why she never tried to stop merle or was she just hoping to get help when she dissed out glen and maggie?

Every episode leaves you wondering about the gov and what is he up too.
    And Andrea the dirty dog!

Thank flip carol was found and it was only 1 episode missing not like her daughter dragging a season out!

Great season, they really messed up season 2 dragging it out needlessly.
