Hey all. Here's the story mid 20s male student looking for diet advice.
Basically I'm in college from 9 to 9.30 pm most days and struggling to get enough food in during this time the canteen food isn't the most healthy and quiet expensive!
I'm working off a very limited budget.

Also I'm doing body weight exercises so trying to add muscle. I read through advise on here and will start using my fitness pal to track my food intake.

So here's what I have in my cupboard at the moment, 80g cans of Tuna chunks in sunflower oil, tinned kidney beans, corn, peas, beans in tomato sauce.
Brown bread, cheese, ham, raisins, red apples, bananas. low fat milk, porridge, diced chicken and lean round steak mince, carrots and eggs.
    Also frozen salmon chunks.

A typical breakfast might be porridge and a boiled egg. During the day it usually consists of a tuna/ ham and cheese sandwich with at 1pm and 5 pm with fruit in between.
Possibly I might add a protein shake for a handy boost? as I find myself getting very drained by 7pm.
When I get Home I usually cook a dinner of meat or fish with pasta/ steamed potatoes and veg.

Has anyone any suggestions for alternatives to the sandwiches during the day as its the length between access to cooked meals that's not helping I feel.

    Anyway roll on the advice/criticism

Why don't you cook a few meals today and bring them to college with you during the week. problem solved:D

Nope I would be sorted if I did though!

Funny enough it seems to be working...Body weight, a few lengths of box iron and access to a welder and some imagination goes a long way on a student budget!

I bring one of these to work http://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermos-Everyday-Stainless-Steel-Litre/dp/B001F514U4

It's good for soup or if you have leftovers from dinner. It's probably better though for foods that are a bit more liquid than the type of dinner you've mentioned eg curries, chilli.
