Hi lads and lassies. Have been going to spinning classes for the last year or so (maybe 3-5 times a week, 45min sessions), of late I have noticed a definite whiff of amonia from my sweat-soaked t-shirt after the class. Don't think its something anyone else might pick up on,but its definately there! Any ideas what this might be caused by? I take two scoops of ON Whey straight after, its an early morning session so usually don't have anything to eat before hand. I'm definately more on the bulky side overall, I'm just wondering if its muscle breaking down? If its fat I don't mind as I deffo need to shift a few!!! :pac:

It's just protein and it's no big deal.

Basically the breakdown of protein for energy and it's probably nothing more than the branch chain amino acids that are bobbing around in your blood stream being used to assist in supplying energy just as it all kicks off in your spin class before all your energy systems get up to speed.

...and no...unless you have some sort of metabolic disorder (which you don't) it isn't muscle being broken down.
