    Sorry for everything

Didn't see a thread for this. It's being billed as the austerity friendly. Who will prevail?
Ireland XI: Forde (Millwall), Coleman (Everton), O'Shea (Sunderland), Clark (Aston Villa), Ward (Wolves), Whelan (Stoke), McCarthy (Wigan), McClean (Sunderland), Brady (Man Utd/on loan at Hull City), Cox (Nottm Forest), Long (West Brom).

Westwood is out with a groin injury so Forde comes in. Line-up looks decent to me.

    I'll say a 2-1 win to Ireland.

    20,000 @ €20 = 40,000 @ €10

I assume they've sold the concession/programmes etc out to another crowd.

Tickets were on sale for as little as €10.

Bit embarrassing when Platini is there to give the Irish fans an award for being so great.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,234 ✭✭✭Patser

Fecking knew it. Aviva looks empty and the fans are scteered in mini groups around the stadium, so that'll kill any chance of an atmosphere.

And the irony is UEFA are giving us an award on pitch for Best Fans from Poland

Thought that too. Not surprised though by how many haven't bothered to turn up.

But at least they are the green army, not the ones who went for a piss up to Poland in the Summer.

    Where?

20 euro for a ticket in the skies.

    No way there;s 20000 there.

Were they. I only seen €20 minimum price for Adults and they were in the lower corner of the pitch. €10 for Children yes. But with sectors being priced differently it has only scattered the fans

Had a bet on Mitroglou at 11/1 yesterday to be 1st scorer. He is into 7/1 now.

Hope that happens and then we come back to win 6-1

That 2nd one was never a peno, but shows Long is way faster than that cb. Hopefully exploit that, but Trap prob won't notice.
