Advice about Meds please!

    Ok so yesterday I went to the doctor regarding Anxiety and OCD and was prescribed an SSRI called Ciprapine, but also a benzo called Rivotril (klonopin is the US equivelant). He said he didn't want to give me an unlimited prescription of the benzo cause its addictive ect. I have been on SSRI's before but they didn't do much good so I asked for something else.

    So my question is whether there is even point in taking the benzo, I read that your not supposed to stop suddenly on them but I only have a months supply...
    Also can you consume alchol on them?

    Or would transitioning to the SSRI after the benzo be OK? I realise I should have clarified this yesterday but can anyone offer advice?
