Texans @ Bears should be a cracker, both have some quality offense but also have two of the best defences going. Severely tempted to take Monday off...

Packers are on a bye.

Its a week where alot of players are under massive pressure.

Ryan & Sanchez, Reid & vick, Garrett & Romo all have games they can't afford to lose.

The race for the number 1 draft pick continues at pace. Looks like being a close race between the Jags and the Chiefs (Browns n Panthers prob get 4 wins)

I'm a bit of a vampire and can get by on 3-4 hours sleep. Not a good thing I know, but it helps if you want to watch a game and then get up for work.

I absolutely could not do that! I even find it difficult to stay awake watching the late games when I have the next day off!!

I'm sure the colts / jags will be so exciting ill have no problem tonight though!

Hopefully Ray Jay is starting to fill up nicely. It'd be interesting to see how many Martin jerseys are around the place so far!

It'll be a good game to watch. Turner is under huge pressure and they've played badly but Rivers could easilly pick apart our pass defense... all signs point to a shootout.

I dont see any smileys or dont sense any sarcasm here, are you honestly thinking the Jags/Colts will be a good game? One of the worst match ups this week. In fairness, any Jags game is usually involved in the worst match ups. Despite it being a divisional game, I'd expect the Colts to win easy enough, they have shown enough this year to put paid to their awful performances last year. Luck is the real deal. Looking forward to the Colts Patriots next week, be good to see the new installment of a recently formed rivalry with the Colts new set up.

    Happily so I reckon.
The previous 2 home games were the "easier" part of the schedule.

The remaining games are largely within the division which will go down to the wire.

I think its a good time to have the Bye-week to prep for a tough run-in.

Thought the Fins had one of the best run defenses in the league no? Looks like Locker will be back in this week.

    No sarcasm at all!!!!!

Ah no I'd expect this is only of interest to Colts and Jags fans, or maybe someone that hasn't watched a full game involving Luck in the NFL yet! On form and including the fact MJD isn't playing one would expect a (if not easy) Colts win, though I really wouldn't be surprised if it goes down to the last quarter! I really don't think there'll be more than 10 points in it either way! We (Colts) have only played well in either the first or the second half so far this year!

(BTW I'm posting from the phone so don't put in the smileys!)

I'm really looking forward to tonight's game because I haven't a chance to see Luck play a full game yet.

Think it's gonna be a close game tonight. Colt's have not been great on the road and they lost against the Jags earlier in the season, albeit to a complete brainfart in the safety coverage. Really important game for the Colts, hope they can do it,

    Prepare to be wowed!!!

Ah no on a serious note though (an I'm no expert) two of the most impressive things he does in my opinion are moving away from the pressure in the pocket and making throws at the very last second with defenders in his face!

Yeah I'm watching sky's midweek special and the colts are up first, some great 3rd & long conv by luck and his accuracy and distance even when he's runnin laterally at pace is savage. Might stay up for the first half tonight, either way ill be able to catch the condensed version on sky tomorrow at lunch.

Really hope the colts see this one through. This is one of there must wins if there gonna get to the playoffs

Seahawks Vikings was a belter by the looks of it, AP is a monster, guy makes huge runs but still looks like he'd take a concussion every time for an extra yard!

Colts have had maybe 2 boring games all season (Bears and Jets) the rest have been fingernail munching.
plus Andrew Luck will interest a lot of people. The next best player in the league IMO :) <--- smiley

its not the colts that are the problem in the game tonight, its the jags! how many good games have they been involved in? Vikings, Raiders? anything else? awful team to watch lately.

no need for the smiley after luck either. a more than adequate replacement for Manning so far it seems. Once the Patriots lose Brady and get a replacement we can start a whole new decade of arguing again!

Excellent, will stay up so. As a Jags fan I dunno why, especially with work at 8 in the morning. Must like the deflated feeling I get after every Jags match!

No pass rush and no secondary does not bode well for the colts! Gabbert could have a big game!

I don't have much gra for either team but I think tonight could be a decent match. Will watch the first half anyway & see how it's going.

Coincidentally I have 2 fantasy teams & the QB's for the week are Luck with one & Gabbert with the other. Roll on the shootout.

    Turnover given

Is it just me or should all "questionable" turnovers be ruled a turnover since they are reviewed automatically! Same with TD's!

Had Luck as my QB last week cause Brady was on Bye, swapped them out this week and so far lucking(excuse the pun) like that was a bad call!

I think the best thing to do is call it as best you can tell, rather than saying "I'll give it & the TV ref can change it. At the end of the day the TV refs are there additionally to help refs.

Kinda on topic, when there is a possible turnover the refs should never blow it up. just let the play go & it can be called back.

After rereading my post I now think all matches should be reffed by a a combination of tv refs & robots.

Great catch there. Hope it stands

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,174 ✭✭✭✭kmart6

In fairness to Gabbert, the RT was horrific on that play.
