    Braga-v-Man-Utd.png

    My first matchtread :D

United can qualify tonight as long as they avoid defeat in portugal tonight. Hopefully a win to put us through and in a comfortable position to top the group. Im going 1-2 United with Hernandez keeping up his excellent form

Setanta Ireland is free to air for the match tonight too for those without sports subs.

    de Gea
    Rafael----Ferdinand---Evans----Evra
    Nani
    Carrick----Anderson--Welbeck
    Rooney

    Hernandez

    That's my guess.

Just adding to your post, and so as to avoid confusion when people realize this isn't on terrestrial tv - Setanta is free to view tonight, not free to air, meaning you still need a valid Sky sub to watch the game. You wont pick it up for free on a Freesat or FTA box.

1-1. Much depends on team but think we do enough to qualify . Like get it over with asap

Smalling to get a game tonight i think at the expense of Ferdinand or Rafael (who both could do with a rest!)

Anderson and Cleverley in midfield, Hernandez up top

Marginal victory for Man Utd i think.

I know it's unlikely, but would love to see Henriquez start or get a few minutes.

    Anyway. 1-0.

Will be a very strong team I reckon so that the reserves can play the last 2 games without any risk.

Am I the only one happy to see Nani start? and in Portugal, maybe he'll put in a performance tonight!

Your post reminded me of a comment one of the commentators made when we played Braga last that went along the lines of, "He'll want to impress his Portuguese friends tonight." Awful commentary!

4-2 United, 2 for Hernandez, 1 for Nani. Realistically though, we might scrape a 2-2 draw.

Crazy looking stadium, built in a quarry

He rarely preforms when we play Portuguese teams. Hope he plays well but i fear him getting hauled off after 60 mins

Smalling hasn't looked right, looks groggy. He also looks nothing like Welbeck.

****. Please don't be ****ing injured again Chris.

Idiot commentator refers to Smalling as Welbeck twice.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 511 ✭✭✭delad

this match is fcuking tedious, awful atmosphere in the stadium too, don't think I'll be able to watch the full match unless it gets much better quickly

The Association of Black Lawyers will probably issue a statement on the issue.

why are rooney and giggs playing in really defensive positions, pointless

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 511 ✭✭✭delad

united aren't trying a leg, they need to go a goal down to wake them up

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 511 ✭✭✭delad

I can't remember the last time a united thread has been this quiet, there is literally nothing to talk about, its like watching a league of ireland game, I'm giving this 5 more minutes then I'm out, lifes too short for this crap

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,836 ✭✭✭✭Pudsy33

I hate setanta, it makes the stadium sound like a funeral

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 919 ✭✭✭RVD420

This sucks, at least if the camera zoomed out we could admire the stadium built in a quarry, rather than enduring this garbage.

and we'd all rather be at a funeral than listen to Niall Quinn

Now apparently Welbeck looks like Evra.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,982 ✭✭✭✭Mars Bar

Evra is getting turned inside out here

Even Hernandez is dropping deep to get the ball.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 511 ✭✭✭delad

I don't think i've seen any of the players run in this game yet, its all light jogging and walking

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 919 ✭✭✭RVD420

Just flicked over to the Celtic-Barca game and saw the scoreline. Think I might go with that one for the second half. I wouldn't mind seeing the highlights (if there are any) of this crap afterwards.

What're they singing about City and passports? can't make it out properly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 792 ✭✭✭KombuchaMshroom

What was up with the United fans holding their passports in the air in the crowd?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 32,865 ✭✭✭✭MagicMarker

A truly horrific half of football..
