Adult Acne/Weight lifting ?

Just wondering is there a link between the two? Iv done a bit of re-search and there's nothing concrete backing it up that i can find. Hopefully someone here might be able to give me some info or if anyone is in the same boat. I know lifting weights can increase test but i couldnt imagine it being anything drastic enough to cause acne.

Basically im a 24 year old male, iv being naturally building muscle the last few months currently bulking where iv made pretty impressive gains but im breaking out in pretty severe acne on my face and shoulders.

I havnt suffered with acne since i was a teen in puberty. Imo im putting it down to a hormonal inbalance or spike of some kind from actually lifting heavy, Iv being thinking about getting my bloods done to see if it is or would this be a waste of time? iv ruled out my diet as its pretty clean even for a bulk.

    Anyone ?

    cheers :)

Are you taking any powdered proteins? Muscle milk and some whey formulas give me breakouts on shoulders.

B-acne seems to be fairly common among BBing and weight-lifting, what worked wonders for me was roaccutance prescribed off my derm.

must look into that. Its getting worse just about every day also flares up a lot after shaving, but my shoulders are a real issue.

my back and particularly the shoulders are pretty bad, i never thought for a second it was due to weights, my doc prescribed Tetralysal, im at week 5/6 and if i dont see decent improvements after this month ill be going to a dermatologist

didnt realise there could be a connection with lifting weights?!

i dont know is there though thats the thing, there's nothing concrete backing up the claims. From my experence , im growing, getting stronger but at the same time breaking out in acne in my mid 20s .

iv got a doctors appointment before work in the morning to get my bloods done and talk to my doctor about it, im curious to see my test levels anyway tbh.

Shoulders and Back can get a bit spotty if I'm not careful, Face as well.

I've tried to stop wiping sweat off my brow and pat it off with a towel. Make sure to drink lots of water and keep your skin moisturized. I find Bepanthen cream during the night works a charm , put it on trouble areas / spots after washing / moisturizing !

Maybe its the whey your taking. I had a simililar problem when i was lifting, i cant say for sure what it was but the whey is the prime suspect followed by the dianobol.
