Mooer pedals - 55% off code

I know we've already had a thread about Joyo pedals. Mooer seem like a slightly more upmarket option on the Chinese copy scale.

If you buy from marcmart.com you can use the code MOOER132 to get 55% off the price. Shipping is free too so the pedals work out at a little less than €35 each.

I was going to get myself an MI Audio Crunch box the other day but €100+ was a little steep for me at the moment. I think I'll just get a Mooer Cruncher instead. Regardless, having never played a Crunch Box (I have a Blues Pro though and it's nice) I'm sure I won't notice the difference!

They've no shimverb though, got my hopes up there. Still though, it's a great price for them.

Yeah, some of the stuff appears to be out of stock. Still, somebody might find something worthwhile. I'm getting the Cruncher now for the lulz.

Also, searching for 'Mooer' doesn't work. You have to browse all the pedals or search for the name of what you want.

I might try pick one up next week if the offer is still on. My brother picked up the chorus one and it actually sounds pretty good. I'm half thinking of getting the tremolo but I might go for something else, I haven't looked through the range that much. The pitch one seems kind of interesting but I'm not sure how much use I'd give it.

Reasonably good prices on them at wtfaccessories, they have the shimverb as well.

WTFAccesories also do a deal of the day , has some of the mooer pedals.
    Including the Shim verb

I thought about getting the pitch changer as well but I'd never find a practical use for it either.

I'd never pay full price for any of these as there are normally offbeat boutique options for just a little more, depending on what you're looking for. But for €35 I can see myself being very pleased.

Crunch box is a Guv'nor with less Eq so you can't go too wrong, I prefer the OG Guv'nor with three band EQ myself. Just cloned one for a guy as a back up to his original and it's sounding mighty.

Wtfaccessories have the shimverb for 34 euro on their daily deal, definitely gonna buy it.

Anyone bought from them before? Need to know the shipping times because I'm heading away in a little over a month and I know these kinda companies can take over a month.

I've got stuff from them in a little overa week previously

Savage stuff, placed the order there, a little over 33 quid in the end.

    Now the long wait begins....

    I feel your pain.

Funny thread. I posted a thread on Mooer pedals months ago and got shot down in favour of the Mallekko range.

Yes, the 50% discount makes it a good deal. Although I have a Shimverb and joyo pedal in the post a long time from this website and still no sign.

That was me! I wouldn't pay full price but €35 seems alright for a slightly whimsical purchase.

Reports on the Cruncher are generally mixed so I'm not sure what to expect anymore.

Have you tried contacting them or filing a dispute with Paypal? You'd almost certainly win.

Bit early for a claim, but not looking great ATM.

Most are clones of others, so they are worth the punt I think.

THere's a time limit on claims with paypal IIRC - dont leave it too long! Think it's 45 days from purchase.

    Update on Marcmart ;
Got an e-mail today saying they are out of stock until December asking me to take a refund or another pedal!

Update on my issue from wtfacessories:

Both pedals have left Hong Kong on 10 Nov, which is yesterday. 3 weeks after i paid for them, that is according to the tracking number.

So i am back in business.:)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,051 ✭✭✭Gaspode

Did they email you the tracking No. or did you have to ask for it?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,635 CMod ✭✭✭✭Ravelleman

I still haven't received confirmation that the pedal has been sent. They have my money but that is the easy part for them. I went for the free shipping though, so I'm not sure what that actually involves.

    Gaspode wrote: »

They emailed me the tracking when i paid for them 3 weeks ago. I did enter the tracking back then, but came up blank.

Anyway, i entered the tracking for both yesterday, and both pedals left Hong Kong to destination (ireland) on the 10th Nov.

The free shipping is snail mail i guess. But i got the Joyo Sweet Honey clone for $32 all in and the Mooer Reverb for $43.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,741 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

I got a confirmation email about the order being put through and an order number, but no tracking number.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,051 ✭✭✭Gaspode

Ditto, hence my earlier question! Did pay to get a tracking No. too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,635 CMod ✭✭✭✭Ravelleman

I got the confirmation email but it said that they'd send another with confirmation that the pedal had been dispatched - I imagine that this will never happen. All of the mystery may be part of the unique Chinese pedal experience though.

Got the Mooer reverb today. Still waiting on the joyo. That solves my issue with the Mooer.

Had a few quid in PayPal, so ordered the Mooer Hustle Drive with the 50% discount. Might even build a Mooer pedal board. :)

I've a missed delivery slip that I got earlier, maybe it was just a case that it wasn't in stock when you ordered so they waited to send it out without contacting you?

My guess is the snail mail. The package gets sent out, HK post office puts it on a pallet for Europe or Ireland and the pallet doesn't leave until it's full.

Some of the pedals are marked 'Out of Stock' anyway. Our Hong Kong pedals all arrived on the same time i think.

Picked up the shimverb earlier. First impressions were that the Room setting is a really nice simple reverb, not a fan of spring reverb but it seems useable. As for the shimmer setting, well with the fifths it won't suit a lot of things, but already I can see myself working it into a few things, definitely another tool in the bag of tricks.

    Definitely worth the 35 quid.

Nice one. Maybe someone could mod it for the octave up.

Anway, i would love to build a Mooer pedal board for the laugh.:)
There are another 7 or 8 i want.

You guys just forced my first GAS attack in about 2 years...bought a Joyo vintage OD and a Mooer OD too...:D

    That's what i ordered a while back.

Got a letter from Customs today about the Joyo. I have to send them the PayPal invoice via email because they obviously don't believe the customs declaration.

So, tip of the day is, don't get your Joyo/Mooer sent with a flippin' tracking number.

Maaan, getting stung on a pedal... particularly a Joyo.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,126 ✭✭✭darrenw5094

Just checked the Paypal invoice.......$32 is what i paid in total. US fricken dollars.

That tracking number thing drew more attention to it than normal.

I got a delivery via DPD off WTFAccessories on Wednesday no customs . Not sure how it operates as I was lead to believe that any/all tracking numbered items were subject to customs .

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 21,741 ✭✭✭✭Squidgy Black

I've never been hit by customs, whether it's tracked or not. It really just is a case of getting lucky though. What did the packet it was sent in have down as the value on it for customs declaration? For the mooer it had it down as $6 and just marked as an effects pedal.

Got my Cruncher this morning. Only got to use it for about 20 minutes. Opinions seemed to be mixed but I'm actually very pleased. It gives a very simple Marshall-like crunch sound and that's exactly what I wanted. The Crunch Box may well be better but given how good this is for €35 I don't think I'll ever need to compare.

People complained that it was a noisy pedal but I don't get any of that. It's no more noisy than my MI Audio Blues Pro or my Black Arts Toneworks Pharoah Fuzz.

I tried it with my SG and my ASAT and it sounded great with both.

    I'd definitely recommend it.

    Got that one. Sounds ok.

Special deal on wtfaccesories........4 Mooer pedals for $168 delivered. Works out at €32 each.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,635 CMod ✭✭✭✭Ravelleman

That's a saving of around €2 per pedal on Marcmart prices. I still kind of want one of the boosters...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,157 ✭✭✭✭Alanstrainor

Got my pedals. So far so good, barely got to try them, might have weird feedback issue with the Joyo, but I'll have to investigate. Pretty quick delivery all considered!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 625 ✭✭✭wild turkey

Got all my pedals today even though I ordered them a few days apart, about 14 days shipping average
Shimverb, joyo tuner & they sent me a vintage overdrive instead of the dyna tuner by error
Another wait in line for me :-(

Shimverb will take a bit of work but have it worked into a few numbers already
also finished building my Hermida Zendrive last night which takes the sting out of wtf's f**kup !

Apologies for resurrecting the thread but I have a joyo vintage OD en route and am looking for a simple (and cheap) reverb pedal.
I am looking at the shimverb or the Biyang RV10 tri verb.

Hopefully folks have had time to play around with their recent purchases and am just wondering if anybody has had issues running the shimverb after the Joyo OD pedal (or other OD pedals)?

Any other issues with the Shimverb?

    Thanks.

Anyone tried the ElecLady yet? Serious GAS for one.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 617 ✭✭✭Demeyes

I had 2 pedals ordered a while back in the hopes of having them for christmas. No luck so far, I don't think they have even shipped yet from Hong Kong! I'm not too annoyed as they are dirt cheap and I'm only getting them to mess around on so another few weeks isn't a dealbreaker.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,635 CMod ✭✭✭✭Ravelleman

In the end I sold my Cruncher as I had no daisy chain slots for it.
