    Hey,

I am moving to Glasgow in the new year for a job. I don't know anybody there and I have no idea which are the good and dodgy areas.

Can anyone recommend a nice area to live? Any other tips would be great too!

I moved to Glasgow with work a few months ago and love it so far. Friendly people and lively nightlife. Living in the West End. It's probably the nicest area of the city to live. Nice parks, pubs, cafes. Avoid places like Govan, maryhill, drumchapel, springburn, knightswood. Don't go too far South or East either. South of the city is cheaper and supposed to be alright in places.
