It's about fricking time! How many thousands of albums has she sold here and then she announces a show at Vicar Street! I'm not complaining (once I get a ticket!) though, but seriously, she could fill The O2.

She hits Vicar Street on May 26th. Tickets €44. Brilliant.

This is gonna be a nightmare to get tickets to. :(

Its nice she can find time in between working for H&M and Jaguar to play a few gigs.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,075 ✭✭✭lc180

Is €44 per ticket not a bit pricey for someone who only has 1 album??

Here's the logistics of this Irish tour date. Lana Del Rey has sold over 30,000 copies of her debut studio album 'Born To Die' in Ireland alone, and Aiken Promotions stick her in Vicar Street, with a capacity of under 2,000. Then you have someone like Brad Paisley headlining The O2, when he should be in Vicar Street. Unreal.

it will probably sell out very quickly.
I consider Born To Die one of the very good albums that were released this year. And she will probably be very good live!
But I am not paying 44 euros (plus whatever ticketmaster is charging) to see her. She is fairly new (just two albums, and I don't think many people know her because of her first album), I am not willing to spend that much on her.
So, less competition for you people, and I sincerely hope you get your tickets and have a great time!!!:)

How can one find out how much copies an album has sold in Ireland? :)

I just bought my tickets for her Vicar Street gig from her website. I would recommend those who really want to see her to get their tickets as soon as possible too to avoid disappointment.
Here is the link;http://lanadelrey.seetickets.com/Tour/Lana-Del-Rey As for playing a small venue, Lana is most comfortable in such intimate surroundings and her music is perfectly suited really for a venue like Vicar Street. The atmosphere will be absolutely electric! It wouldn't be quite the same if she was playing the O2 arena.

    Now here is a taster to how wonderful she is live (and in a smallish venue....not too dissimilar to Vicar Street);

Yeah, it seems I have. Didn't notice it at the time but I was charged 48 euro per ticket. :o Probably still works out cheaper than ticketmaster who will charge a six euro booking fee on each of the tickets.

Got two tickets for the ex wife about 10.10 after numerous failed attempts!
Man I'm gonna be so back with her!

Any chance of a 2nd date or a change of venue?
Fail miserably at getting these tickets for a Christmas present!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 53 ✭✭JerseyJoe

They'd better add a second date or change the venue. I was at my desk at 10 to buy a pair this morning and it told me "sorry, we can't find any tickets" etc etc.

While I like the idea of an intimate gig at Vicar street (I think her music would really suit it), realistically they could add an extra date somewhere...especially with such demand.

Hi everyone, I just bought tickets for the second date on the 27th of May buy I've made a horrible mistake. By any chance would any one be willing to swap tickets for the Sunday night show for the Monday night show?

I would be ever so grateful if someone could help me out. Thanks :)

There's a forum on Toutless you can used to swap tickets, it's a great site, it's your best bet finding someone to swap.

I am so mad right now. I preordered my tickets for the 26th date using seetickets.com which was listed on Lanas site. I had to pay in pounds as they had no option for euros. Ok so everything was fine I got my confirmation email etc. So today I get a call and they tell me that there was an error and that I needed to pay in euros so I said that it would be fine then a minute later the guy on the phone told me it was sold out.

I am crushed :( surely when I had preordered they had my tickets for me?

I was the same but got an email that confirmed my tickets were moved to Monday as a computer error meant I didn't get tickets for Sunday night. Very strange but at least they gave me tickets for Monday. That is terrible that they have left you out!! They also refunded difference on price of tickets as I paid in GBP too

They are so shady it seems. On Facebook theres a group called I hate SeeTickets. Why did Lana choose them for preorders :(

It really makes no sense how could they just sell my tickets when all they had to do was transfer it in euros instead of pounds :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,075 ✭✭✭lc180

Looks like SeeTickets are making a habit of this, they screwed up the orders for a Ben Howard gig in the UK this month and 750 people only found out 24 hours before the gig that there tickets were invalid.

I find the tracking system doesn't work on seetickets main site but I got this link when I bought tickets for Noel Gallagher off them before and this works when you put in your email and order confirmation order.

Hope this helps ease your mind.

I bought 2 tickets from seeTickets too for the sunday. They rang me the next day to say the tickets were sold and not available but luckily they did have 2 tickets for the Monday night.

But still, a bit dodgy and only lucky I got tickets in the end.

Oh wow thanks so much for this!
I was also starting to really worry when it came up in their database that they had no record of my booking, despite taking the funds out of my account.
    Fortunately, everything seems in order:)

I feel terrible for that poster who was screwed over by them. I see tickets are already "appearing" on Gumtree but at crazy prices.
