I wouldn't lug it around with you , food is so cheap you'll get plenty of eggs and chicken , fish and soya for cheaper than the bars would cost you. There are supplement shops in bangkok if you could trust them.

Bring a Shaker full of powder ,then move it into bags once you get there maybe , 6 weeks worth of protein bars is gonna take up an entire suitcase.

There's a channell on Youtube, leanbodylifestyle, that has simple recipes for loads of high protein snacks/meals. I think its brilliant. I use them if I dont wanna bring a protein shake somewhere, like work etc. Also breaks up the monotony of drinking your protein.

Thai food has loads of high protein options. You don't need powder or bars, its no different to protein from food.

Thailands food is cheap as hell.
There are plenty of supplement shops in the cities, plenty of bodybuilders, athletes, etc go to thailand to use other types of "supplements" so the market does exist.

    How much do you need?

Mellor has pretty much summed it up there. Protein sources have existed long before powdered form and it's not that hard to meet your daily needs through food.

    No need

Its Thailand - you are never too far from a man selling chicken and cashew nuts !

Watch out for the man with a sausage pretending to be a woman though !
