I've been getting angrier and angrier as i get older. I keep it bottled up pretty well and release it through training. I train muay thai but missed the last two weeks thru illness and noticed a huge increase in irritability.

I dont even know where to start with what makes me angry but some things are facebook and twitter, incompetency in public sector, pc bull****, religous zealots, anti-religous zealots, humans , animals, etc.

Am i the only one with anger issues?how do u deal with anger?

Oddly I'm getting older too OP but I don't think I'm getting angrier. In fact in many ways I think I may be becoming more relaxed. With age, they say, comes a certain level of wisdom and of course life experience.
I realize that to get anything in life I have to work for it. If there is a problem or issue, talking and moaning about it won't achieve anything- you take action to resolve the issue.

As I've been getting older I've come to the realization that the world does indeed have it's fair share of idiots, rude people and such like. This isn't a problem as in my relaxed state of mind I chortle and like to think that I'm not one of them.

No OP, getting angry isn't good for you or those around you. If you have an issue then you need to take action to resolve it. If you tackle the issue you can get on with enjoying life and those around you that make it worthwhile.

Waking up and finding large wads of cash strewn all over the bed and floor for the second time in 5 days, and not knowing where it came from makes me angry.

Were your pants around your ankles when you woke up? If so, then you may have something else to be angry about.

I'm angry cause I never win the Lotto.

I know I would be sooo happy if I did, running my own nightclubs, restaurants, sailing in Yachts, eating the best food, dating the hottest women, sleeping with the hottest hookers. A little philanthropy just to ease the guilt of burning all the fuel in my Bugatti.

Yup, not willing the Euromillions incenses me.

So much so, that one of these days - I'm actually going enter the damn thing.

Great post and i agree with you on all points. I dont stress about my life or moan about things in my life. I act on them and change them, i am a smart competent person. I think the anger is more at things i think.need to be changed and i cannot change.....if i could i would and therefore would not be angered by it.

Just for an example i will mention public sector reform. When i voted for fine gael they promised public sector reform...and im talking about removing layers of bureaucracy, not cutting frontline jobs and services. They backed down from the unions and instead went after easier targets. Because of this i am pissed Off.

Another example is how social media is chanving how we interact with each other. I dont think facebook, twitter and the likes are healthy for us but this is the way society has gone so im pretty angry about it.

I get so angry at things that make me angry, boy do they annoy me, I get so enraged that I can't speak to anyone for fear of saying something to them that they'll regret.

Read today OP that suppressing feelings of anger can lead to illness - so it's better to get it out of your system.

Try a bit of meditation (I'm serious - it has worked wonders for me).

I can go from bring really calm to insanely angry in a very short space of time, if someone presses the wrong buttons. And sometimes I just let rip and the person on the receiving end gets a right mouthful - other times I try to gather myself as best I can and remove myself from the situation (depends on who the person it tbh).

Anger is very bad but

I'm becoming more tollerant as I get older.
But I'm still angry about everything!

The usual stuff - The average Joe and their stupid, stupid opinions based on fcuking nothing!
Stupid people in general just annoy me.

Religions - All of them, especially organised religions.

    Music these days.
The cleb and reality tv culture.

Women drivers (yes, I know I'm a woman, but I don't drive like a fcuking idiot.)

The mass media and its information bias.

Porn, and the entire sex industry (well more what it has become in society than the actual industry).

The fact that in this day and age, there are still people dying of starvation and a lack of medical intervention, every second of every day - we have a massive surplus in goods - there is more than enough for the whole world.

The social welfare system - the poverty trap - you get stuck in it - whole system needs reforming.

The education system - well that one actually seems to be changing over the next few years, but still will leave a lot to be desired - rote learning shouldn't be the main focus for one. Also, there should be a broader learning, not so focused on academia.

The health system - the whole thing is a thundering disgrace.
The lack of supports for special needs, carers, mental health etc...

I could actually go on forever here, but I won't.

I put 'Furious' in front of my name to remind me how angry I am.

Rename yourself 'Happy George' and that will help.

How can facebook make you angry? You would have to look at it for it to make you angry?

Any emotion we have to contend with is to the extreme, out own personal imprint on anything. We feel angry about people who have upset/hurt us. People who seem to enjoy rising emotions, at the best of times, try to hide.

What drives me absfookinloutely nuts, are people who have no understanding, have no compassion or empathy. I'm lost when common decency has been lost in the equation with some people....it goes over my head, every single time....:/

I get angry at the state people leave footpaths in. I did some shopping yesterday. It was only a ten minute walk to the supermarket but I must have seen at least fifty puddles of phlegm, some of which were about the size of my fist. I could barely walk two feet without almost stepping in some scumbags spit. When I wasn't almost walking in phlegm, I was almost walking on broken glass. Then there's the cigarette butts that are everywhere.

One more thing before I head to the crib. I am angry about the fact that people hurt so bad that they can't see an end, never mind seeing the end of the year out. I'm angry to the fact that some people have no-one to turn to and say "ta fook with it all" and have a sympathetic ear to listen to them, and say, "all is good".

No matter how fooked up things get, no matter how messed up everything gets, no matter if when you hold the door open to someone that they completely blank you, no matter if you jump into the middle of a fight just to stop it, with no consideration for yourself. No matter if your partner commits the most heinous of acts and cheats... Because, I can tell ye lads...at the end of it all...what is the very last thing ye'll think of?!?!?!

Me? I'll probably either pass away in my sleep, or I'll realise and remember what was important enough for me to think about in my last moments. So please, restrict being angry to someone or something that deserves to be a single moment in your life that will limit or attempt to define your very being. Even then, being angry requires as much energy as it takes to love someone. :) Use the Energy in a good way!
