Cats are pretty cool. They're also a lot more intelligent than dogs.

If you don't think that's true, try this : leave your cat and dog outside with no food or shelter for a week when you go on holidays. When you come back, the cat will be fatter but the dog will be lying dead at the back door.

Ill let you in on a secret...a cat wont think twice about climing into bed with you...snuggling into you..act as if it loves you...and then take a crap on your face!! A dog will be honourable and whine and moan and whinge untill it is let out. It will protect your home, you and your family...and cat will bail on a better offer. All in all cats are slags!!

Cuz whenever there is a treat about animals someone has to come in and post about their dislike of cats and then another poster backs up his dislike of cats with claims of how dogs are amazing because of their loyalty and companionship. Then all the cat lovers end up posting about how cats are amazing and better than dogs and the loop continues.

Wasn't there a really long thread not too long about this same cats vs dogs topic?

Although it really makes me wonder how anyone could hate an innocent and mostly harmless animal...

I'm sorry but you are deluded idea of both dogs and cats, no cat or dog has the capacity to pretend to love you. They live in the moment. A dog can protect your home but a cat will catch rats and mice for you and bring them to your doorstep looking for your praise, the same way a dog would.

My dog would be quicker to go to the toilet in the house in a bind than either if my cats who will hold it until the last possible minute. My cats have had plenty of better offers over the years but always come back home. And again if you think a dog wouldnt bail on you for a better offer then you are deluded.

If my dog got lost in the morning he wouldn't be thinking about how much he misses me and home. And I can promise you he wouldn't turn down a warm bed or food because he wanted to get back to me. You should stop putting human emotions on animals, dogs are dogs and they feel like dogs, they love to see you because you have food and toys and take them for walks. Cats love to see you because you have food and play with them and they can sit on your lap. Is not not healthy to humanise any animal and leads to sometimes very severe behavioural issues especially in dogs.

Hate cats, love dogs. Had a cat for 13 years so its actually based on my experiences and not blind hatred.

I can understand why people like cats, smart, clean, low maintenance, owners are a bit masochistic etc. But i just cant understand how someone would prefer them to dogs or even hate dogs and love cats, unless of course you never had a dog and in which case i feel sorry for you.

I have a duck who's just an arsehole. Honestly, the others are lovely but this guy is a fcukhead of the highest order. He's stopped attacking me because of the futility of the act, but I can tell he still has no regard for anyone.
