    what we can expect tonight:

The number one contender's match for the tag titles, Sin-Rey Vs Rhodes Scholars

Miz whinging about losing his title to Kofi on Main Event, and setting up the rematch at HIAC

Kane Vs Big Slow, with the Tag Team Champions (aka Daniel Bryan) likely to have some involvement.

A John Cena promo, even though he's not booked for HIAC (yet).

More of AJ wearing very tight clothing

    what we can expect tonight:

A terrible rating, up against NFL, baseball play off and presidental debate.

Now there's the finish. Cena can't count the pin for Ryback because his elbow is only being held on by the tape at that point in the match. ;)

Pfffttttt, Dean Ambrose, obv......No?......Like every other time?.......

Between Vickie's voice and AJ's pauses, I've got a cramp from class-5 cringing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 852 ✭✭✭Muff_Daddy

Has ryback been in a match that's lasted longer than 5 minutes? And he's about to main event a ppv, a hell in a cell match no less.

    This is just nuts.

I love the subtly of Punk going back to plain black kickers just to suit his now 'heel' character. The little things like that I love.

I laughed at Jim Ross saying that in 34 years in the business, he can't think of anyone like Ryback, at the same time as the crowd were chanting "Goldberg, Goldberg".

Anybody else notice the ''foreign object'' that fell to the floor from Punk or Heyman when Punk was crawling up the ramp at the end of the show.

    Enjoyed that show.

Dolph vs Bryan was amazing. First time I've watched a match on Raw for months. Bryan/Kane have been revolutionary together.

Not quiet sure where they are going with Bryan losing to heels in singles competition, is it to make him more sympathetic with the fans? Because he's already over as it is.

Probably because it helps the heels, but won't hurt Bryan because he's over. Also making Team Hell No look stronger as a team than on their own

it must of been a very poor raw with only 3 pages here.

I was watching it live last night but couldnt post.
Overall I thought it was a fantastic, at one point I was even happy there was an extra hour I was enjoying it that much.

My one qwop is I just knew when heyman came out for the AJ thing that he wouldn't be given the job and it was just a way to bait and switch the fans.
Also the reaction to AJ resigning by the crowd was funny as they thought it would lead to someone better getting the role... And then vickie was announced. :p

I don't usually care much for the cena love angles but this one is interesting, they obviously have a plan with it as its clearly thought out and doesn't feel like one of those that they are figuring out each week.

Nice powerbomb by Ryback at the end on Punk. Clothesline is awesome looking too. Bit of a beast.

Hi AJ, you look like you've got something to say. Do you?

AJ: Yes (sob) I certainly do. I HAVE TO GO NOW. MY PLANET NEEDS ME.

    AJ's gone! Hoo-hoo-hoo-ha-ha-ha!

Where are they going with the Cena/AJ/Vickie affair story line? I fully expected them to announce Cena v Ziggler for the ppv. Maybe something will happen on SD

Most roundabout way to get a Cena-Ziggler feud but if it moves Ziggler up the card I can get in to it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,404 ✭✭✭spiritcrusher

Not a bad Raw, a lively crowd always helps. Bryan - Ziggler was fantastic. We all know how well Ziggler can sell but never before have I actually winced like I did when he took Bryan's drop-kick and the landing on the ring-post, they seriously looked legit.
Bryan and Kane have really clicked as a duo too, even Kane's facial expressions (those you can see) are amusing. Bryan is on a whole different level though, just one look at him and I laugh. I don't know why they've clicked and lasted, those comedy pairings usually die a quick and embarrassing death.

I really enjoyed the opening Rey Mysterio/Sin Cara - Rhodes Scholars tag match too, first time in ages bothering with anything to do with Mysterio and Cara, proper tag stuff.

AJ stuff bored me, as did most of the promos. Vickie getting her trademark apocalyptic heat was excellent though. It's quite something when you have to shout into a microphone to be heard over the crowd.

I'm very close to being sold on Ryback now. Something about that ending did it for me. Simple, straightforward but it looked pretty impressive, and he didn't look as messy and unsafe as he used to. That powerbomb was savage, the camera angle and Punk's face made it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,125 ✭✭✭xpletiv

Gotta say, Vickie is pretty epic. The way she draws heat is astounding! Really shows how good she is at her job with how much the public despise her. Fair play! Im not even bothered with her second run as GM :) Shes a great heel manager. Hopefully itll help Ziggles as well.

    Needs more Cena

In the segment breakdown, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara vs. Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow opened with a 2.46 quarter rating, which is a very weak opener. Kofi Kingston vs. Michael McGillicutty lost 41,000 viewers while John Cena's promo and an appearance by CM Punk and Paul Heyman gained 530,000 viewers. Justin Gabriel vs. Antonio Cesaro in the rematch from a week earlier lost 372,000 viewers.

The high point of this week's RAW came in the segment with Vince McMahon, AJ Lee, Paul Heyman and Vickie Guerrero. That segment gained 529,000 viewers for a 2.91 quarter rating. This beat out the Cena segment that gained 530,000 viewers. The Miz vs. Ryback and the backstage brawl with Layla, Eve Torres and Kaitlyn lost 613,000 viewers - not a good sign for Ryback right now.

Daniel Bryan vs. Dolph Ziggler lost 253,000 viewers. That match was one of the most talked about in recent weeks and finished with a 2.31 quarter rating - the lowest for a non-holiday RAW segment in 15 years, although this record was broken later in the night.

The game show segment with Team Hell No and Kane vs. Big Show gained 62,000 viewers in the 10pm timeslot. John Cena confronting Vince McMahon and Zack Ryder vs. Alberto Del Rio gained 26,000 viewers. The lowest quarter-rating going back 15 years then happened as the Dolph Ziggler segment, a Ryback video and the Lumberjacks entrances lost 319,000 viewers for a 2.15 quarter.

The Lumberjacks main event with CM Punk vs. Sheamus gained 1,058,000 viewers for a 2.89 quarter rating.

To be honest apart from Cena, and sometimes Punk, a lot of them have been involved in some awful quarterly ratings over the months. Miz, Del Rio, Bryan, Kane Ziggler and even Punk when feuding with Bryan were making people switch the channel in their droves.:(
