I've been planning on investing in a good telescope (€200-€300) and i was wondering if it was worth my while with the conditions in ireland. Any input is appreciated

You'll be grand! It is clear enough to observe some of the time so a €300 spend is fine. I'd love to have the spare cash to get one but ya know yourself! Plus i work nights so i'd only have 3 nights to observe. The odds of those 3 nights being clear are poor. Plus i've got school runs monday morning so cant be up all night!
I dont know how serious amateur astronomers do it!!
