Not sure if it's the right place to post this but seem's as it's health and fitness I'l give it a go. I'm a qualified P.T. and have various qualifications in the fitness industry. But I am looking to go further in to sports science or something along those lines to work with sports teams and/or athletes. I'm wondering does anyone on here know of any courses in Ireland or the U.K? Also any information regarding education qualifications needed to do a college course in this field. For example in DCU would I need certain results in exams to have a chance of doing something? Again sorry if not the right place to post

If you want to keep working while adding qualifications check out the UKSCA. They have some fantastic coaches at each level of qualification and it's a highly recognised association around the world. Usually weekend courses and there are always 1 or 2 in Belfast or at least near a big airport in the UK

They have a very well established Sports Science course in UL (University of Limerick).

To get it from CAO, I think is around 400 points.
But there are mature student allocations and "access" options.
    Contact them to ask.

One possibility as already mentioned is to look at mature application for Sports Science (DCU/UL) another option would be to attempt entry to a course such as CIT's Health and Physiology Certificate which can act as a launch pad to Sports Science etc.

    Good luck
