    How long does a public order offence fine take to arrive?

    2+ weeks. Depends on when the Garda filled out the paperwork.

    Handcuffs were put on and I was held in the station until 7am.Not sure if arrested or detained.Thanks for the replies.

    You were arrested, otherwise, you wouldn't have been held in the station.

    I had a few too many,cant remember a whole lot,think i heard him say 80Euro fine,but cant be sure.

    yeah you were more than likely brought in for Section 4 Public Order Act so, you'd have been told when you were arrested for and then again in the custody area.

    would it not just be easier for you to either call into the station or ring and explain when you were arrested and ask to speak to the member who you arrested by, apologise to him/her ask what happened and go from there.. could get you away with a fine if it hasnt been sent away already
