Twitter going kerrazy with the rumour that One Direction will be on tomorrow's Late Late.

Will Ryan ask them to stay on after their interview to discuss politics/the catholic church/abortions?

UPDATE (Thanks, Skid): Also on, Sonya and Virginia Macari. Plus Paddy Casey with the Shannon Gospel Choir (dressed as penguins?) and MAYBE Conan O'Brien.

Ah, bless them WM........Mr T. will have so much in common with them. Should be a riveting interview....:D

A few token teenage daughters from the staff of RTE in the audience and maybe a keg or two for the uninitiated should get the show rolling!!!!!!!!....

    Can't wait!.......:p

    From the Indo...

SECURITY at RTE has been significantly increased ahead of the appearance of One Direction on the Late Late show tonight.

Station bosses at Montrose are expecting the campus to be under siege from devoted One Direction fans – however have issued a warning that most will not even get a glimpse of their idols, such will be the level of security.

The boys will be on the show to perform their new single ‘Live while we’re young’ – as well as have a chat with host Ryan Tubridy about life since they broke America.

Fans waiting at Dublin airport were left disappointed last night after the band were whisked straight from the runway to their hotel, without going through the terminal building.

It is reported only around a dozen fans had gathered at the airport for the arrival of the band, such was the secrecy surrounding their arrival.

The boys had been tweeting from Paris earlier in the day and didn’t made any mention of the Dublin visit – not even Mullingar native Niall Horan.

The band’s schedule has been kept strictly under wraps, in order to prevent hundreds of fans laying siege to areas of the city.

Wow, I adore Conan. Would love this to happen, 5/4 odds that the first question would be about his Irish roots.

Conan O' Brien actually is in Ireland at the moment so it's probably true.

Tubbs will be in his element considering his Tubridy Tonight show was a rip off similar to Leno/Letterman/Conan O'Brien.

Hopefully O'Brien will make Tubs look like the amateur he is.

Plus Paddy Casey with the Shannon Gospel Choir (dressed as penguins?)

One of my best friends is a member of Shannon Gospel Choir so I'm really looking forward to seeing her on the telly box this evening!!! :):):):)

Ryan Tubridy or wait for the sixth goal to go in.. It's a tough call in fairness.

    edit: and there it is..

It's mad that One Direction only came third in X Factor, now they are probably the biggest pop band in the World.

This would have been their X Factor winning song

Were these not on last year? We don't need an appearance every time their oversized brood increases.

It's nearly tradition at this stage-a form of anaesthetic if you will.

This song is unusually upbeat for the late late!
